Hi, i took 3-4 puffs (drags) out of a pipe of pot when i was wasted at a party May 8th... dont know if was strong or not... didnt get high. Now i have a drug test for a job this tuesday May 25th and I'm scared. I don't know if it will be urine (prolly), blood, or hair. Do i have a chance of passing these tests? What should i do in the next couple days? I am 5' 9" , 240lbs. First time puffin in my life (and last maybe). Fairly inactive but ive been workin out a bit this week. Thanks

Given your stats you should be clean by then. An occasional smoker with your body stature only needs about 5-10 days to clean out. You may want to dilute a little just to make sure.

Unfortunately there is no way to quickly flush THC metabolites since they store in your fat cells. The only way to speed it up is by exercise, but this needs to be done for months before an increase in metabolic rate will take place that will cause a quicker turnover of fat cells.

Thanks. i was reading another post on blood saying the max it stays is for 7 days so thats good. So I guess hair is my only other worry since its unlikely urine will test positive (ill indulge myself in water). For hair it shouldnt show though right? Since its my first time and I had relatively very little

Here is some info I gathered from EROWID, a very reputable site in terms of drug use and drug testing info:

Cannabis use is detectable with hair tests and is generally included in the standard hair test. Hair tests generally take the most recent 1.5 inches of growth and use those for testing. That provides a detection period of approximately 90 days. If an individual's hair is shorter than 1.5 inches, this detection period will be shorter.

Hair is a tricky issue because it depends on the length of your hair and such. I don't as of yet have any evidence of any products or tricks to fooling a hair test, but I woud recommend you not burden yourself with a hair test issue unless you get a form stating you will get one. Hair tests are far less common, on average, than the standard urine screening

Thanks. Also I was wondering for urine testing even though im on the heavy side and have fat if about 18-19 days is ample with the amount I had. Thx

I postponed the test to sometime next week to buy me some time.... will go to the store and buy some aloe rid today and will start using that in my hair. ALso, I swam for a total of 5 hrs over the weekend in a pool so I assume the chlorine might have done something with the toxins as well. As for pee test im gonna buy a drug test today and check myself out even though im fairly confident since its been 17 days

hair is finicky; for that reason there is really not a lot of information on it. Usually labs will do hair tests along with urine screens, and most will not use the hair test alone as a standard for the failing or passing of a drug test. Also, THC can move along the hair shaft over time, which is why it will show up at the end of the strand even if you stop smoking for weeks or months. There have been reports of hair tests showing up positive months after the last smoke. They will take a sample of your hair and they test it through a GC test; conicidentally, even if you do stop for a month, the end of your hair strands may still contain THC metabolites. It takes a few days to show up in your hair since hair grows slowly. You could shave your head thinking this will keep them from taking a hair sample, but they can take a hair sample from any place in your body, even your genitals. They usually take multiple strands of hair from multiple places on the head and they test them all to get a general idea of the THC content; but it is still my understanding that they will take a urine screen as well. Another thing to keep in mind is that the lab will not buy the "I am around smokers" excuse; they usually will wash the hair follicles to remove contaminants, and the drugs they test for are bound to the hair follicle, which only show up in someone who smokes internally.

In the end "The detection period for HAIR is limited only by the length of the hair sample and is approximately 90 days for a standard screen"

So that is what I have on the hair testing thing. If they do a hair test, you are going to run into more trouble with that compared to a urine test, but in addition, keep in mind that most labs will not use hair testing alone; they will usually back up the hair test and confirm it with a urine screening. While I have never taken a hair test before, I have seen my friends go through it. I knew a girl who still tested positive after 6 months, but she also had hair to the middle of her back. For this reason, hair testing is finicky; it is not a tried and true procedure as of yet, and is still trying to be developed to be more accurate. It is also expensive to test the hair, when compared to a normal urine screening.

I think N2 and I probably have about the same amount of knowledge on this topic, since the information on it is vague and the information I have gathered over time has been choppy, but I have had friends go through hair testing, blood testing, and personally, urine testing, so personal experience sometimes can be more of a help.

Ok well my test was cancelled and rescheduled for tommorow (again!!). It's now been 36 days since that event. I also overheard that it was a urine test so i should be just fine right? I'm just wonderin incase its a 20ng/ml GC-MS test. Thanks

that is a good amount of lead time, you should be in great shape. Do you know what kind of test you are going to get? For the most part they are usually first screened at 50ng/ml and are only sent to the gas chromatograph if the results are inconclusive on the initial screen (since GC is much more expensive)
