I took a pre-employment drug test with Quest Diagnostics on Tuesday (Friday afternoon now). It was a standard 10 panel 50 ng/ml test. Before the test I abstained for 27 days. I was pretty much an everyday smoker, but only about a bowl or two a day. Smoked good stuff too. I am 6 foot about 210 pounds, with some belly fat. Over the 27 days I have exercised almost daily and ate well. Also drank water/ green tea / cranberry juice. Passed five at home drug tests before test. First one about two weeks ago and the last one about an hour and a half before the test. Lines on last three were solid (not control line solid, but solid) and taken with my first void. I felt very confident going into the test. But for whatever reason in the following days my paranoid nature is gottenthe best of me. I called the facility where I took the test today ( more than 72 hours after giving specimen) and they said they had not gotten my results back yet. They did say this was normal though.

Is there anyway I failed this test? Am I just being paranoid?

Please someone reply, Im literally going nuts with anxiety. Know I need to chill but cant seem to. Uh, what is wrong with me.

Don't seem like people at this site care about your peace of mind, but what do you expect from potheads...
Relax man..27 days and you did all those things..you'll be fine..
plus with the home test you took..you should have no worries..
From what i understand you would have heard back if you were Dirty..
They would have called and asked if there are any presciption drugs you may have not told them about-Blah blah blah....
SO DON'T SWEAT IT....
there i had to say something..was feeling bad no one was talking to you....

It isnt' a good idea to call the place where you tested to ask if you passed. The first thing I do is call the employer to let him/her know you are inquiring about the test. This could be taken like you have no idea if you passed or not. Someone who does not use marijuana at all would never call to ask if the results were in and if they passed.

Hey Caliguy!!

Did you pass???

I called the Lab to ask how I obtain the "all clear" results to pass on to my potential employer (Did not give my name or any details) - I was informed that my employer would receive the results directly. My response "Oh! So I don't need to do anything else?" I was told no and the test would take approximately 72 hours.

PULLING MY HAIR OUT WAITING!!

Been almost two weeks since I pissed and haven't heard anything from my job or the lab. So, I'm guessing I passed. I don't actually start work for another couple weeks so its hard to say for sure. But, I think at this point someone would have contacted me if I popped positive.

I thought I would pass along that i hadn't heard a word for a week until today - My employer called to tell me that I can START WORK TOMORROW!!!!! I PASSED!!!!!

Caliguy I am willing to bet that if your employer has not "cancelled" your hire date, you are good!

Update. Got call from work today that I am all set for orientation. I PASSED! Thanks to all out there who contribute. A completely terrifying experience, but this site was a great resource. It is absurd how much power the corporate / govt establishment can have to ruin your life (feel like I lost over a month of full enjoyment of life) and cause so much stress over something as harmless as smoking weed. Total invasion of privacy. Anyway I learned somethings about myself as a result and am in the best shape I have been in years. So there is some silver lining. Thanks again to all.
