I just got a new hire packet from my new job (?). The welcome letter says that the background check and drug test came back, "both of which were fine".

I was going to take it today. Of course I'm thrilled, but I wonder if it's just a form letter.

If anyone approaches me asking me why i didn't take it, i was thinking of saying something like "of course i'm clean, but who has time to go piss in a cup if they don't have to...i'll still take it if you want, but i wasn't going to say anything if you didn't." I'm going to stay clean.

Does that seem like a reasonable course of action?

P.S. Maybe it really will just go away, i'm only an intern after all...that would be sweet!
