Just got an offer for an incredible job, pending a drug test. Im 28, 6', 190lbs, fairly active. Up until 2 months ago I smoked 1/8th a week, I then didnt smoke at all up until 2 weeks ago. Over the past 2 weeks I smoked 1 marble sized nugget...I would just hit it casually with one or 2 hits at a time, rarely catching a great buzz but just leveling the head. I last "leveled my head" Sunday 5-30, didnt burn Friday or Saturday before that. My test has not been scheduled yet...I have until Friday to accept the job and I can only assume that if I accept that the test will be scheduled for Monday 6-7. I have no idea what kind of test this will be and did not want to ask. Substitution is not really an option, I have a high profile position and if it were to come out that I smoke I would be in a world of ****, I have no one to ask for a clean sample...The only person that knows I smoke is my buddy that I buy from and Im sure that he cant pass a test. Any advice?

well, first off, subst is still an option if you want to get some synthetic, quick fix is a brand that works very well. If you are not comfortable with that, here are some pointers: eat light meals the next few days, and try to take some creatine about 48 hours prior to the test. Stay away from the MJ, obviously, and also alcohol. You can exercise, but I would stop the day before your test. The day of your test, drink plenty of water, try to schedule the test for the afternoon if you can so that you can dilute and urinate frequently before giving the sample. You can drink water or powerade, powerade is good since it has b complex vitamins. Aspirin is also good, but make sure you take it relatively soon before the test, like 30 minutes or so prior. Other than that, you should be in good shape as far as diluting your urine goes. While this will not ensure a 100% chance of passing (since subst is the only way to do that) you will be in much better shape than someone that does not do anything to dilute. And remember, regardless of how much you smoke, even if it is one hit, you should still consider that a day you smoke since you are still taking in THC, even if at lower levels.

Mel, I purchased "one step THC Test strips" to see how things would turn out. Throughout today I drank (3) 20 oz bottles of water and a 20 oz pepsi. At 4PM I took the test and it came back negative very quickly. The first paragraph on the instructions says "The one step THC test is a simple one step immunochromatographic assay for the rapid, qualitative detection of THC and its metabolites 11-nor- 9-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid in urine. The cutoff of the test is 50 ng/ml of THC (11-nor- 9-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid). It is the same as the SAMHSA reccomended assay cutoff. Tommorow I am going to give it a try first thing in the morning, I expect that I will test positive since it has not been that long. I purchased 5 tests just to play it safe, I also purchased the quick fix which I should have tommorow just as a last resort. Have you used quick fix? I am terrified that I will get caught with it in the lab somehow...I will only get one shot at this test and a failure will throw away 12 years of hard work, I know that if it comes back as inconclusive that I will not be hired. My plan is to drink water and continue to test myself, begin taking creatine and vitamins for color and monitor and see just how much I need, I feel like I have turned into a mad scientist over this whole ordeal but this jib came about six months earlier than expected. I used to burn 1/8th a week, in the past months I have smoked literally a marble sized nug one or two hits at a time. Thanks for the advice last night, i'll keep you posted with the results

sounds like you are in good shape. You are able to drop below cutoff using dilution, which is something that should be reassuring. Quick fix has great results, I have never had anyone fail with it, as long as the temperature is in check. If you test positive with your first morning void, just start on the fluids and don't worry, I have known people who have tested positive with their first void for weeks but are still able to pass while diluting.

Just found out that the test I am taking is a 7380N SAP 10 GC/MS, what does that mean?

I did a little research on the quest site and from what I can tell I will only get a GC/MS if the results come back positive (I think) However most people that I see that have posted have said that they are taking a 5-50, or a 10-50...all my test says is a 7380N Sap 10 GC/MS...whats that mean? I also have an alchohol test that is a 5480N alchohol...not worried about that one. I passed the dip strip test that I took last Thursday, I have since taken 2 and passed (one was first thing in the morning first of the stream and no dilution)

the SAP 10 still has a 50ng/ml cutoff check out this website: http://www.tjc.edu/Radtech/background-check.htm.

The lower cutoff for the GC test is only used to confirm a positive test on the original screen done. Hope that helps.

How long do results usually take to get from Quest? If I had failed would I have heard from an MRO? Its been a few days now and I havent heard a word, nor am i going to ask. On a side note this clear-headed thing is kind of nice, I think i'll be taking an extended vacation from the herb for awhile
