| Hey, I gave a synthetic sample yesterday. 6-15-04 Temp was proper and I didn't feel suspect, but the wait is killin' me. Anyone ever hear about the success rate of syn substitutes??? Was quick fix liquid. It's a dip test unless it fails, then I guess they would use gc/ms type I think. Sweatin' bullets, please only give reassurance if true, lol. |

| Only by doing a genetic test. That requires a seperate consent form and is not part of a drug test. N2 |

| I was reading the post about Labcorp turnaround times. I know that Labcorp was doing the testing for my donation. Do they have any special techniques or pretty much the same as everyone in the industry. I'm still buggin' out over this crap. |

| Nope, they are pretty much the same as everyone in the industry. The results will be faxed to your employer. If there was a possitive on the test, the MRO would contact you to ask if you took and medicine that could have caused it. Remember, in this game, no news is the best news. N2 |

| Well...here it is the 8th day after the test and no word. I'm hoping that this means that I'm truly in the Sub Club. I used the Quick Fix on 6-15. Just wanting to keep you guys posted. If you have randoms at your work and can't stop using the MJ, I suggest that you invest in a little bottle of synthetic pee. I will let you know in a few more days if I hear anything, but like they say....NO news is good news. Peace out troops. Oh yeah, thanks N2 for your reassurance during my stressful ass time. |

| I hope that things did in fact work out for you!!! If your company does do random, subbing may be your best bet. Also keep in mind though, RANDOM is RANDOM for most companies. Most companies do the bear minimum of randoms that thier insurance requires to give them a break on their insurance. This could mean 10% of their employees must be tested quarterly or annually, or per year. This percentage however, DOES NOT include preemploy or post accident. I can give you one example of randoms that I did, that might help you ease some of your stress, if you do not always have a sub available. I would take an alphabetical employee list either starting with A or mix it up and go with Z. Each employee would get a number 1 thru 'whatever the total employee count was'. I would then call our mediator (go between me and the MRO). I would give her the total employee count and that I needed computer generated random numbers. She would get those numbers and send them to me, as the numbers were listed by the computer, were the people that had to be tested. If you are number 30 on the employee list, and number 30 is the first number on the computer generated list, you are getting tested!! Those numbers would than be sent to the Coast Guard, and later followed by Pass or Fail/termination paperwork. My point is is that these test are random as required by law/insurance, and the backup/proof must be provided to avoid any discrimination issues! If they suspect you of doing something they still can not test you unless you get hurt OR hurt someone else. Now if you are sooo stoned at work that you mess up (like with paperwork or something) and they know you are high, they are not going to terminate you for that because it is tooooo hard to prove in court, they will terminate you for something else....like misconduct/failure to do proper work, yada yada yada. **I am not an expert, just going off my own HR experience and knowledge in a heavy drug testing enviornment** So basically your chances of getting randomly tested at work are pretty slim. I know people that worked for that company and NEVER got on the random, and those that only got on it 2 or 3 times if that!! And I worked there for over 6 years!!! (And we did quarterlies/10%) All in all though, I wish you all the best!!! cherishtoday |
