First of all, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here who helped relieve some of my some anxiety about 4 years ago when I moved from Australia to the U.S. on a job transfer. My first encounter with drug testing - when they sent my offer of employment to home in Aus via Fedex and I read the cover letter while wrecked - nearly killed me. (drug testing is just not done in Aus) But thanks to everyone here I was able to learn about times for testing etc. So thank you!

Anyway, it's that time again. I am in the process of negotiating a new job. I have been a chronic smoker (daily with really good gear) for the past 4 years (and before that in Aus) until just over 2 months ago when I decided to have one of my voluntary cleanse sessions where I go cold turkey for a couple months. So I finished the 2 month (approx) break on 06/08 when I decided to treat myself an 1/8th of really nice gear which I proceeded to smoke over the next 8 days with my final smoke being 2 days ago on 06/15. I randomly decided to pick up a "At Home" drug test kit while at the pharmacy today with the plan to do another one just before my "real" test. Naturally I failed the one today (06/17).

So here are my stats: 31, male, 5'10", 170lbs (just got it down from 195 over the past 5 months), metabolism? - don't really know, average I guess. I have some control over being able to delay the test while we finish up working out the final details of the job move (and I take some vacation time) and might be able to put it off until 07/01 which will be 16 days after my last smoke. Do you think this is enough time to pass given my stats, or will I need to dilute or possibly stall even longer?
As an interesting side note, when I found out about my drug test 4 years ago in Aus, I went and saw my local doctor and came clean with him about my situation. He decided to help me out and ordered a lab test (apparently at 50ng?) which I actually passed after 5 days of not smoking following a fairly heavy stage just prior - never thought I would have passed. The best part was the Aus government paid for that test - cheaper than "at home"! Thanks!

Wait for the results of the second home test, although I must honestly say I'd be a little suprised if you passed it au natural. You could substitute a clean sample and not have to worry about the results. Links to both substitution and dilution are linked to in my signature. Hope that helps a little. N2

It looks like I've managed to delay the test until at least 22 days from my last smoke. Do you think that I could pass au natural (with some minor dilution on the day, but not enough to run close to failing the counter measures) after that amount of time? Is 28 days about the longest time to pass with urine based testing?

I did another home test after 6 days (06/21) and "thought" I saw a very very faint outline of where the line is supposed to appear. Is that something that appears regardless of your level, or was I seeing an oasis in the middle of the urine testing desert?
