here's my story...

i lost a the chance at a great new job about a month ago because i was asked to give a drug test at the final interview and was not prepared. i had searched everywhere for any indication that they did testing and could find no evidence, but obviously i guessed wrong. anyway...

a much better job than that fell in my lap last week and i am determined to get it. i have decided on the substitution method and have spent the last few days practicing temp, storage, etc. i'm pretty confident that if i can have the sample at 100 degrees going in, i can keep it in the right range to give the sample. i'm praying that i can give the sample without being observed, but the chance that i will not have the opportunity is still worrying me. all i know is that the sample will be given at the place of employment, using a "dipstick", and i will only be sent to the lab if i fail this screen.

my question is about a backup plan. i'm about 6ft, 200lbs, and never exercise. i have been a daily smoker (only three or four hits, though) for about 20 years, and will have abstained only for 6 days at the time of the test, so i think dilution is pretty doubtful. with the "dipstick" method, is there anything i could drop in the sample (bleach, drano, etc.) to make it clean without being detected? would ground-up aspirin do anything? should i still try dilution ( i do have some lasix on hand)? any advice?

i have read the skepticism about certo, but here's a little story. a girl (daily smoker) i know swears that she has beaten piss tests on two occasions in which she was stoned at the time with the following method:

drink one gallon of distilled water with a packet of certo disolved in it the night before the test. the next day, drink another gallon of distilled water on the way to the test. that's it. i know this just sounds like an effective dilution, but she is very overweight and smokes a lot. she swears that the certo and distilled water is the key. take it for what it's worth.

dr, do not add anything to the sample, ie bleach, crushed aspirin, etc. You will want to dilute as a backup plan. Read the dilution guidelines linked to in my signature. If eating Certo will boost your confidents level, then take it. It won't hurt anything. But as you suggested, it's the large amount of water taken with the certo that is allowing her to pass. It is still my opinion, and I have still not seen a shred of scientific evidance that pectin products do squat to help pass a drug test, save making the consumer drink large amounts of water. But the best news I can give you is that after reading 1000's of threads, I have only seen 1 in which an employment test was observed. Hope that helps. N2
