ok im freaking out. I took a urine test at labcorps monday afternoon. I haven't heard anything yet, so I called the company I took the test for and the chick there said she didn't have it yet. I was a pretty moderate smoker, but quit exactly one week before the test, and drank a CRAPLOAD of water and took a prescription dieuretic the day of and a few days before the test. I pissed a bunch that morning, gave a midstream sample and it was super super clear. Any ideas? Did I pass? I am a female 23 about 175 5'6, and liek i said, i smoked about 4 times a week for the past few months before i quit.

You may run into 2 problems. 1) the prescription coupled with the water may have dilute your urine too much 2) you called the company to inquire.

First, never call an employer regarding a drug test; it only arouses suspicion, even if you are only calling the secretary or whatever, it still should be avoided. At best, give a week and call to make sure "you are still under consideration for the job" or something like that. Just FYI

Depedning on the presciption you took, some dieur. can be more potent than others, and some can really wipe you out, and with a lot of water, you could run into a diluted sample. Good news is if you do come up dilute you can always test again (hopefully you have not smokey smokey yet )

Finally, given your situation, and your dilution, it would be unlikely to see you come up with a positive sample; more likely, you passed or you came up dilute.

The dieuretic I took was Hydrocholrothyazide(HCTZ), which I have a prescription for. Also, when I called, I did say something along the lines of " I need to know if it's ok to put in my 2 weeks notice at my current job". Aside from a drug screen we had a background check, criminal check and some other testing stuff, and all that has to come out ok before I start, so I didn't come right out and asked about the drug screen.
I should know something today hopefully. Keep your fingers crossed...I reallllly need this job!

HCTZ is a mild diuer so you should be ok with the dilution thing, let's just keep our fingers crossed; there is not much more advice I can give you, but just as a side note, good call on asking about the two weeks thing; it never hurts to call to make yourself seem more interested in the position; most jobs are more apt to hire someone who follows up after an interview.

Maybe I too will be burning one with you after I substitute my wifes super clean sample Thursday. I have no worries about this big day coming but I know one thing I cant wait to get there and finally play out all this practicing that I've been doing. I will let you know how it went.
