I have finally found out the details for my pre-employment test. I am taking the above test with Quest Diagnostics on Tuesday. Does this mean that I am having the normal 5 panel EMIT test and then a GC/MS only if a failure occurs, or am I straight up taking the GC/MS first time around? If this test is a straight up GC/MS, is dilution a waste of time?

This test will be 28 days from my last smoke. I have passed the "at home" test at 24 days following "good" water consumption during the day - enough that there was still "some" color in my urine when I took the test. (the pass line on the test was no where near as faint as it was on a test I did a week earlier with poor fluid consumption). I am 5'10 and 165lbs. My smoking history prior to abstaining for the 28 days prior to the test? I had an 1/8th of really good gear in the 7-8 days prior to the 28 day period and that was after a break of approx 6-8 weeks. What do you all think? I am so stressed over this test I can barely sleep. I need this job! (and I am not really comfortable substituting). Am I worrying about nothing?

you have a test with a 5 panel arrangement and a 50ng/ml cutoff level for THC. A GC test will only be used if the results of the dipstick were to come up inconvlusive for some reason. If you passed the home test you should be pretty confident you passed the lab test as long as you use the normal options.

Yo, I'm taking the quiz maybe tomorrow or the next day. (Got to schedule the thing first.)

Anyway, it is the 35533n sap 5-50/300 gc/ms from Quest. I bought the Walgreens test and took it today and came out negative on the dipstick. I didn't dilute and color was normal. But I drank a pint of H2o to get the flow.

I'm 5'10" and 190lbs. I exercise 3 times per week. Not a heavy smoker, b/c the wife likes the KB and I can't take much o'that. I toked about 3 weeks ago and it was only 1 puff. Confident I'll pass and will post the results. BUT, I will take some extra precautions, by following the guidelines on the cannabis website. preparation is half the battle in life. Oh yea, I have been drinking every night for 3 weeks too.

BTW i would imagine smoking small amounts of very good pot is heavy smoking,
you get just as much THC by smoking less.

OK, I just had my quiz. I prepared today for it by following the instructions given by N2 for dilution, because like you, I'm paranoid. You can find N2's post on here at cannabis website. Anyway, when I went in to test, I couldn't pee. So, I asked them for water. I drank my water and waited 5-10 minutes. Then she asked me to empty my pockets and submit a 30 ml sample. My urine was diluted and yellow from the B12. She took the temp and made me pour it into a vial. She sent the vial offsite to Quest and told me the results will be available in 72 hours and sent to my employer.

SO, now that lab will get my sample. How deterioated will the sample be when they get it? Also, will they still do the dipstick test followed by the GC for any confirmation of positive samples?

Can anybody answer these questions?

The collector made a mistake by allowing or "making" you pour the urine into the vials yourself. The collector is supposed to do that while you watch. Then the collector is required to date the seal on the vial while you initial it.

That really doesn't matter now, there really isn't any way your specimen will be "deteriorated" before the lab uses it. Your test should go just fine. I wouldn't really worry if I were you. One hit 3 weeks ago isn't going to show - I don't care how strong the pot is.

Drinking anything in the weeks and days prior to a test does nothing but give your kidneys a workout.

OK, it has been 1 week since I submitted my sample and I have worked for 4 days. I passed the whiz quiz. Hope my information helps someone.
