I have been a chronic marijuana user for the past 8-9 years. I smoked w/ a partner roughly 1 Oz a week, with few exceptions. Over the past 6 months I have slowed down comsumption to about a 1/2 oz. a month.

Recently (about 2 weeks ago), I stopped smoking entirely. I fell off the wagon a few days ago and smoked about 4 bowls of avg. quality smoke, but other than that, drug free.

I'm a computer geek, so I dont get vast amounts of exercise. I drink roughly 4 liters of Diet Coke per day, without fail. I urinate 10+ times a day, everyday.
My metabolism is prob slightly lower than avg, but not largely. I eat a bit more than the next guy, but have held at a steady 250 (give or take 5 pounds) for the past 3-4 years. My diet is largely starches and meats, with the occasional veggie for the hell of it..

There is a good chance I will be taking a pre-emp test within the next 2-3 weeks. I realize my chances are iffy at that point, but just how iffy is it?

Assuming I smoke no more, whats a reasonable guess at the amount of time I should expect to wait before I piss 100% clean?

I've read the general posts but have yet to find anyone near enough to my exact circumstances to feel a comparison is valid.

My basic plan was to simply drink a bottle of "piss clean" the day of the test and hope for the best. Since reading this forum, I'm learning it can be a bit more complicated than that. I plan on waiting another week or 2, then trying an @home test to get some rough idea.

Any thoughts regarding my situation are appreciated. I am new to this site, so it's possible I have overlooked the solution to my plight. If thats the case, please forward me to the correct link, or give me a few keywords and I'll run the search myself.

ps. I have looked over the dilution faq and am considering it, but I'm not sure if my situation makes it viable. Again, any advice is appreciated.

I used the home test kit sold by Walgreens and got a negative result; a dark line in the test portion that almost matched the control line. About 48 hours later, I tested at the drug "counseling" racket and the test line was very faint. So, do not risk anything on the basis of results from the "home" test kits.

I think someone your height/weight and the amount that you have smoked past/present, you will need at least a month of non use before being clean. I smoked pretty tough for the past ten years , weigh about 150 pounds and it took about 6 weeks for me to be clean. There is so much THC in your body fat that it takes a long time to get rid of it. I'm not trying to discourage you, just letting you know that it takes awhile if you've smoked tough over the years. I think the dilution or substitution methods may be your best bet.

first off, please note that home tests are accurate, and I have had many people rave about home testing and their matched results at the lab. What youth may have pointed out is that some tests have a "ghost line" where a faint line shows up on the test strip, but this is not a valid negative result; please read your home test directions carefully to interpret your results. With that said, you the smoker, need to take your detox time from the last day you smoke. You fall off the wagon, then the day after is your first day of detox. You are going to need about four weeks, or possibly longer to clean out. With general exercise and a high fiber diet you may be able to shave off a week or so but that is about it.

I am assuming piss clean is some type of detox drink; remember these work on the principle of dilution, and though they do work, you can get the same result from dilutoin methodologies mentioned on this page and linked to my signature. Subbing would be ideal, since you don't have to fool around with any dilution methods.

However, if you do dilute, you may be able to get away with a couple of weeks of being clean and still passing the test; it all depends on your body, which is why a good home test is to your advantage.

Yep....What Mel said....(again) Low fat...High fiber diet...the high fiber will help to eliminate toxins in the fat cells in other ways that through the bladder...........I think ya know what i mean. Raw fruits and veggies are extremely healthy, and naturaly cleanse the body..they have natural detoxification qualities in relation to the human body....
I eat so much fiber................I'm legaly twine. I've read fiber will extract non water soluable toxins from the body. That and exersize can help you speed up the time you get clean.... But as a chronic smoker, with a few extra lbs...... You should prepare yourself for the possiblity of failing.... Consider some of the alternatives posted by the experienced mods on this site.

Quick Fix 4.0 kit. Came with bottle w/ temp strip, and a thin heating element.
$44.95 at a local head shop. I did pay more than Internet, but its in my hands right now instead of who knows where in shipping..

I've practiced a bit with the bottle and its a cinch. You really dont even need the heating thingy. Crotch it for 20 mins and it's temp reads between 94-96 degrees. I can walk and sit easily with the bottle tucked away. I have a 1 hour drive tommorrow before I even get to the hospital (its a hospital job), so I'll have plenty of crotch time on the way.

All in all, I expect to pass with flying colors.

Thanks again for the advice. It's what helped me decide on Synthetic and with a tiny measure of luck, will insure I get the job..

Well, I took the tests today. Everything went as smooth as silk. (95 degrees)
It was a pre-emplyment screen, so no problem substituting.

The processor is MedTox.
On the paperwork there are 2 tests checked.

1. #88366 (10 panel)
2. #341 (Blood:etoh)

I was TOLD the bloodwork is for alcohol test (??) and they will also run a Hep B,Hep C and other tests on it since I'll be working in a hospital environment.
It plausible considering I am also taking a PPD test and will be immunized for anything I didnt get as a kid (ie. measles, mumps, etc)

Any thoughts?

ps. I couldnt have done this without the info and support posted on this forum. After spending a few hours reading thru it all, I felt 1000% better about substituting.

pss. 1 think I thought odd.. An Alcohol test? Who in the hell goes to a job interview blasted?
