why don't more people use an additive like clear test instead of doing all these other things to their body and urine

As far as I know, some employers test for additives, which makes it riskier than dilution/substitution.

Is that true? Because I am getting tested tomorrow and I might buy an additive

additives are constantly being adjusted, their versions being updated by the detox companies to combat the labs. For instance, some have different versions of their additives i.e. version 8.0, 9.0, etc. Once they know the labs have found out how to test for, say version 8.0, you need to use the newer version.
Additives are a little dicey, which is why a lot won't risk the additive route since if you get busted using one you can get in a lot of trouble.

most likely, they will just terminate your prospective job offer. But in the case of probation, it could lead to jail time. Labs do not like it when people use additives, which is why they test for them; for this reason, I never suggest using additives to help pass a drug test; the risks involved are just not worth it when you can dilute or substitute and get the same results.
