My situation: I'm in a program for a degree wherein we work out of several area hospitals. Because the hospitals require drug screens, we need to have one from a specific hospital which will be used to prove our status at all facilities.

Last time I smoked: 6/26/04 - on average, I smoke once a night about five nights a week.

My build: Here's probably my biggest problem - I'm 4'10" and weigh about 128 lbs. I'm not incredibly active, although I've tried to excercise fairly regularly since this news.

The test: Urine screen on 8/13/04

I took a home drug screen and tested negative rather quickly, but I've no concept of how reliable those are. I've called the company and they told me that it can take up to 45 days for a clean test if you use. I called a clinical laboratory and was told it can take up to 7 days for a clean urine test.

There is such a huge range of information/misinformation out there on this subject that I have no clue what to believe.

Frankly, it angers me that in a world where alcohol kills millions yearly and cigarettes cause disease - pot is somehow selected to be stigmatized as if it is somehow more dangerous or AS dangerous as these other truly scarey drugs. I hate having to defend my use and I hate having to stop using something which helps relax me (I suffered from anxiety disorders and depression - I no longer require my prescription meds to get me through my day-to-day since I tried using this natural remedy). I would never advise someone to do this, it just happened to work for me - I realize for many it would not work and could actually be emotionally devastating.

You should be fine by then but I would definately suggest using a sub method in the future so that you can have your medicine and your job. There are a ton of substitution methods here including my post about inserting a cigar tube. Just find one and practice so that when the day comes you can do it smoothly.
