I took a test at LabCorp last Friday morning. I'm VERY interested in the results. I have heard nothing from my prospective employer, which I take as a good sign, generally, because sometimes you never know what the result was -- you just start working.

What's been the experience of the community and moderators as far as people tested by LabCorp and when they find out their results?

usually a few business days; I would wait until Monday or Tuesday of next week and then call your employer if a call has not been placed to you by then to find out if everything is "in order" for your prospective job; don't mention the drug test, just be interested in the job and starting work and make yourself to sound eager about the job; the drug test, in your mind, should be secondary to the employment opportunity.

If you don't hear by Monday or Tuesday, call Human Resources and ask "is there any information you can give me in reference to my employment as [job title] at [company X]?" I am just following up on the interview and such.

You should get some info by then, and if not, then you will have put some pressure on them to keep you in mind and call you as soon as they have word; remember that employers a lot of the time have a lot going on and so sometimes they will not call you as quickly as they normally would; that is just the way corporate America works

I was going to call tomorrow, but if you think that two weekends would help, that's alright, too. Being too eager to confirm the result may lead to some unnecessary suspicion.

I've already agreed to being tested at any time, anywhere, at the pleasure of management. In addition, my car and person may be searched for "dangerous drugs" at any time while on premises.

I'm in no danger of losing my current post, so I'm not in a dangerous position wage-wise, thankfully. The suggested cookie and relaxation is easy for me to eat and enjoy.

I know that many of my brothers and sisters here don't have it as good. I hope we all pass, and find out our results as soon as possible.

Friday is never good because everyone is getting ready for the weekend; try Monday afternoon; I think by then you might even have gotten a call already to you; you may get one tomorrow; in any event, relax, and let us know how it turns out and good luck, enjoy your weekend

Passed, or, er, I got the job.
I didn't ask questions. They just said that "all pre-employment conditions have been met".
Whee!
Quit when you know you're gonna be tested, people. Time is your buddy.
