| i'm supposed to submit to a pre-employment drug screen in the very near future, and i'm weighing my options. i've noticed that most pre-employment screening is conducted through commercial outfits, like labcorp or labone. i'm curious whether or not testing policy and practice is considerably different in a hospital environment. do they tend to be more suspicious or rigorous? are you more likely to be asked to change into a gown? they didn't specify that this was a ua, but i'm assuming. is it more likely they'll be using other methods of extraction? they did indicate that it takes 24-48 hours for results to come back. does this indicate a mandatory gc/ms? is there a pre-existing thread for this? any help or experiences others could share would be greatly appreciated. |

| hospitals employ the same methodology that private labs use; the only difference is that in a hospital they usually have the resources to do the test in house instead of sending you to an independant lab for testing. It should still be a simple Substance abuse panel test with a 50ng/ml cutoff for THC metabolites. |
