| So yeah, we all know you should take creatine a couple days before a test so that the levels in your sample are higher and you're less likely to be labled diluted. But how about weeks before the test, before you work out or do some cardiovascular excercize, as to eliminate the metabolites out of your system faster? After all, isn't that what creatine does, it helps break down fats faster? In theory you could really speed up the time you need to get clean by combining daily excercize with a creatine regimen... ![]() |

| creatine gives you energy in the form of a chemical that goes to your muscle tissue; it is converted into phosphocreatine (creatine phosphate). This high-powered metabolite is used to regenerate the muscles' ultimate energy source, ATP (adenosine triphosphate). This energy is responsible for, well, what you do every day; the more of it you have, the longer your muscles will go;. that is why you are going to take it is you are a hardcore lifter, since your muscles will get tired quickly. Creatine acts to help keep the muscles energized for longer periods of time; so while creatine, coupled with intense, longer workouts, can result in more fat burn and faster detox times, the use of creatine needs to be coupled with lifting; if you only use creatine and do not stick to a regimen, you will find the creatine actually causes weight gain. So unless you plan on taking it to the gym at least an hour a day four days a week minimum, it is not suggested you use creatine for long term detox; additionally, even those like me who have used creatine in the past for muscle gain, will not use it all the time, and will usually cycle it over a period of a year, where you take it for weeks and stop for weeks.
