I was hoping to get some advice on testing methods - I have been clean (marijuana) approx 6 weeks on Fri. This is the day I am to take my test. I have taken a home test twice and passed (three weeks ago). From what I have read it seems I will likely pass an EMIT test however I was wondering what the possible likelyhood would be of passing the GC/MS. I am aprox 130lbs regular user for many years. Thank you for the info on this site, very helpful and informative.

Well I just read another thread on the board similar to mine. Sounds like I could still test positive on the GC/MS depending on the cutoff levels. It sounds like it is VERY rare to do this test first considering the expense. Hopefully I will be ok.

if you searched thoroughly, you will find many threads that say the GC test can detect down to 1ng/ml or less, whereas the EMIT only detects levels above 50ng/ml

You can be positive on the GC test for months; the EMIT test may only take weeks; this of course all depends on your smoking frequency, intake, blah blah blah.

Well I took my test yesterday. Found out it will be SAP 5-50. Not really stressing too much anymore. Can't believe I was observed. Just makes me even more pissed about having to do this stuff to get a job. Should be able to report back soon.
