hello ya'll!

I am a 38 year old female. I have smoked medicinally for about 7 years. I smoke everyday, more on days I am not working. The stuff I smoke is what I call "ghetto swag" as I never could find a good resource for hydro in the city. I weight about 135 am 5'5" and have a moderate metabolism. (depending on many factors) The question I have is that I have been ill with a couple of intestinal diseases; diverticulitis, IBS and recently hospitalized (and operated on) for an intersussuption (a small bowel disease). I was in ICU for 3 days and on a BUNCH of medications. I realise most of them will be out of my system before I take a Pre-employment drug test on October 18th (I will have been clean of weed since Sept. 26th. by then) I regularly take about 2 to 4 325mg Aspirin daily, as well as a LOT of ibuprofen. I take Ambien sometimes to sleep, vioxx or bextra for the BAD pain days(both are STRONG anti-inflammatory prescription meds for pain) as well as phenergan for nausea and vomitting (25mg at least weekly, sometimes daily) I take a POWERFUL multi-vitamin and drink water, beer, coffee like a fiend (with the IBS, if I don't, I don't go poooooooooooo..I know, yuck) Additionally, I have to take a powerful laxative every other week.....my questions involve not only passing the test through dilution and 19 days abstinence...but the worth of taking niacin, MORE asa or activated charcoal when I have been so ill recently (I MUST get this job...a LIFETIME opp with a pharm co making TONS more than I do as a technician in medicine)
I might mention that I had to have 4 plasma transfusions before my surgery and STILL bruise like a mofo due to the asa I already take.
Questions:
are my chances poor to pass due to the years of smoking?
Is the Aspirin I take reguallrly enough for the dilution/asa to work?
What about the niacin/charcoal after being so ill recently (sx was Aug. 12th 3 days in ICU, a week in hospital with a morphine PCA pump for pain)
Will the Medical officer give me a break, in case I fail, since I was a drug pharmacopia secondary to major illness/surgery.
Hope someone can help with my unique set of "conditions"...I have NO way to sub as ALL my friends smoke the herb......
(My husband says I am going against my politics to drug test as I have NEVER taken a job that drug tested..and only took on before to PURPOSFULLY fail to make a political statement (and waste the nazi company's $$$$) This new job is a 10 year dream of mine...so...I am REALLY torn upabout taking the test

come on ya'll...no help for me? I know nobody is a health professional here..but Jebus...I just need a LITTLE info, I guess....I am second quessing myself enough to "suck dic$" at my current ****ty job so I won't have to subject myself to the BS of a test for my DREAM job...but I really need a LITTLE input....isn't there ANYBODY out there over 30 who smokes and has health problems who could help? Or only a bunch of 20 somethings who could give a ****.....(I am WAY stressing here, ya'll fellow TOKERS!)

Dilution sould work. it has for me. Make sure you take a vitamin B to maintain color. A diaretic can help flush you out. You can look into substitution also.
I have to take randoms, so I purchased a urinator. It works great. Also read the drug testing threads.

I decided to stay with the ol' crappy (but reliable and NON-DRUG TESTIN) job and forgo (for now) the great paying (albeit high stress) job as I have not been able to swallow right since agreeing to "pass a pre-employment drug screening"....I do a GREAT job where I am...and they decided to keep me after my being so ill for a couple of months...I am going to pat myself on my back for even GETTING the high paying dream job...and realize that dreams may not always be what they seem...I am smoking right now and happy......I am pain free when I smoke and I sleep at night and am mellow (I am a HIGH STRUNG person)....medicinal marijuana, ya'll......better than booze (and a HELL of a lot less toxic) Though I am disappointed I was ignored, as an "activist"...I will continue to read this sight...but remember karma dudes and fellow women......if YOU ask, wouldn't YOU expect at least a neighborly (hard word for me to spell) reply?

I think people didn't reply because everything you asked about has been asked and answered many, many times on the post board. I did it too -- asking questions without searching the threads first, then did search and found many instances of my question being answered, so I wouldn't take it personally.

You could have passed the test for your job, if you had first followed my link (http://www.marijuana.com/420/showthread.php?t=32063) and done the dilution methodology; sure you would have been nervous, but in the end you could have most likely passed, even with all the meds and conditions you are experiencing. Furthermore, you could have gone and done the urine screening and filled out an application, while still retaining your other job; as long as you don't sign any agreements, you can still waiver and reject the offer later on. I am also a believer in the job that does not drug test, but unfortunately, some drug companies have duped certain companies into the drug testing world, and for this reason we have to suffer the consequences. For some reason the drug testing companies have a pretty easy sell telling companies how much safer they would be if they drug tested. Let's just hope that health insurance rates never are judged on drug testing or not, because if they are, everyone will have to take drug tests.

While it is good to stay at your old job since it is comfortable, sometimes change is good too; hopefully when the time is right, you will quit MJ for a month or so, find that dream job again, pee in their stinkin little cup, and walk off to a better job. But hey, as long as you are happy, that is all that matters.

Hey melan- (sorry...short term memory loss, but I remember you're a moderator)

I know that I was WAY nervous...but I also had a twang of guilt...because I DO get sick a LOT and I sometimes can react poorly to stress, my dream job of years ago may not be as healthy as I think...especially now......(as was pointed out to me by a family member: I can ALWAYS get the "dream job" again when I get better)...I have the qualifications, (I ROCK! I got the JOB, didn't I?)...so..I didn't 100% not take the dream job because of the test (I figured folks on this board might not wanna hear the other details of why I should not take the new job..Libra type indecision....)

I had convinced myself 70% I would pass following the guildlines I have read on at Least 10 different sites (so you people who thought I didn't read up on my **** can...thhhhhhhhh (wink) I read so much dang stuff that I didn't sleep much for the last 3 days...I read cannabis.com...some drug warrior dude...about 5 medical texts...my father is a toxicologist...but because I am a little tense and he busy, I sought IMMEDIATE help here instead of waiting a week to get a response from my Dad...so..never assume you know anything....I read ALL about dilution, Certo....creatine...niacin..had you "scolders" REALLY paid attention to what I wrote in my original post(I forgot the name of the responders who told me to "read the threads")....you would have seen that I KNEW about the niacin, Aspirin...ect, therefore had OBVIOUSLY read SOMETHING about taking a dang piss test and how to pass (nothing's 100% though, right?)...I was concerned about my HEALTH and experiences of OTHER smokers who had/have health issues...I DIDN'T ask for "dilution methods" however....

ok...I vented......

I am confortable with my decision for a myriad of reasons..but mostly because I ALSO don't believe in regrets...(like I don't believe in drug testing....)
besides...corporate America rapes the world, in the end, right? (wink)

It seems that you dont think it possible that no one was knowedgeable or comfortable addressing your medical issues-- the methods of passing are here in step by stp fashion-- there are countless reccomendations to try methods and check with home tests-- pretty hostile attitude given the unique meidcal situation you are in-- fact is this is a marijuana site, not a medical forum-- give the other members a break for cryin out loud

I for one wouldnt touch advising you with resepect to aspririn consumption adn your medical condition-- I am not knowledgeable enough to do so.
