Hello everyone! I'm new here. First let me introduce myself. I'm a 34 year old female. I weight 120 pounds, 5'6" tall and thin. I'm not sure about my metabolism but I can eat pretty much anything and stay about the same size. I rarely excercise.

I only found this site after my testing. I've read almost every post on this site since then. I found much usefull information but would like personal opinions on my specific problem. I posted this on another thread but think it may get more responses here.

Now let me explain my situation to you-hopefully someone can give me some reassurance. I talked to my brother about pulling some strings for me in getting this awesome job-he is a manager. This is a very good job with high pay. He calls me one morning and tells me to get there quickly because he just talked to his boss and they'll interview me right away. I showered and quickly made my way there.

I was interviewed by two different people and talked with them both for a while. They hired me then and there and immediately gave me a paper to go take a urine test. It said ecup/escreen on the sheet but they send it away and it takes 3-5 days to get it back(I asked). Okay they said I had to go straight and take the test right then. I became frantic as I wasn't sure when I last smoked weed. I know at least three weeks but it could have been four. Also let me give you a background-I had never ever smoked pot until about 3 months ago. I had been upset and a friend gave me four joints in which I smoked over a two week period. Well later she gave me two more joints which I smoked the last at least 3-4 weeks prior to taking the test. I'm not sure what type of pot this is I just know it's homegrown and after smoking one joint I was floating and feeling well High. I know it goes for 5 bucks a joint as well. I'm really worried about the test. I had no time to do anything except I did drink a bunch of water on my way there(probably around 20-22 oz or so and I stopped right before the test and bought a huge 32 oz diet coke and drank it straight then I pee'd twice before going in. My urine was very pale color.

1. Do you think I will pass?
2. Since I'm not a regular smoker of pot will I be okay?
3. Do you think drinking all those fluids may help in getting a negative?
4. Since when I did smoke I smoked a full joint each time does this make my situation worse?

Approximately 3 months ago I smoked 4 joints over a two week period. About six weeks later I smoked 1 full joint and then about a week later smoked another full joint which was around 3-4 weeks prior to my testing.
All of which made me very high so I'm assuming it was good stuff. I drank plenty of fluids within an hour and leading up to my testing time. I urinated two to three times prior to testing. My urine was a very pale yellowish color. Before this 3 month period of smoking I had never smoked pot in my life.

I'm seriously worried because not only will I not get this awesome job but my brother probably will know about the pot and I really didn't want anyone in my family knowing of it. Not that him knowing is totally horrible but smoking pot is my secret-not even my husband knows about it.

I've been so upset about this my stomach has been in knots since yesterday(when I took the test). It will be another three or four days before I know anything and I'm really driving myself crazy over this whole issue! I've smoked six freaking joints in my life and now it may cost me the job of a lifetime! Should I be worried? HELP!

If I would have had more time before the interview I would have sustained for at least a full six to eight weeks to be sure of a negative reading. With my time-frame being uncertain-it could have 3 or 4 weeks or maybe even longer it since I smoked last it makes me very uneasy.

I'm hoping since I didn't smoke everyday and only had six joints over those three months then maybe, just maybe the three-four week window will help bring forth a negative. I think the excess fluids that morning could help a little in diluting my urine somewhat! So please someone give me their honest opinion-am I okay or should I kiss this job goodbye?

with the histroy you described and 3-4 weeks clean, you have a good chance of passing but no certainty-- the extra fluids should help a little too. Good luck-- sounds like the pot was quite potent and you smoked quite a bit of it so yeah, that does increase the likely amount of metabolites your body has to clear-- you're borderline on the likely to pass side IMO

Thank you so much for your reply. At least I have a shot at passing! I do remember that I may not have smoked the full joint the last time which may help somewhat. If I remember correctly I only smoked about 2/3's of it.

So it was a 2/3 joint 3-4 weeks prior to testing. The other one was smoked about a week before that. And it was probably at least six weeks before that when I smoked the others. Other than that I'd never smoked any in my life!

I'll let you know if I pass! I'm not sure if they'll even call me if I fail. Are they supposed to call and tell me that I failed?????

Well if you fail your test and you are denied the job, they should tell you that the reason you were not hired was because you were positive for marijuana. Most employers will not give you a urine test until they are pretty sure you are going to be hired by them.

When you don't hear anything about the test, that usually means you passed.

Babe, you need to relax. With your weight and height you would be clean in a week. I am 6'3, 205. I think we have about the same height to weight ratio. I am a regular and quit for a week before I had a urine test and passed. Thats from smoking every day. I do exercise moderately though. But 3 weeks is a long time for someone of your size. Enjoy your new job!

Thank you for posting that. I've been driving myself insane over the past few days!

I still haven't heard anything but it's just been 5 days and now its the weekend. I'm hoping they will call me this week and tell me when to be there to start work.

I was really freaking out thinking I would fail this test.

You should be fine but I wouldn't say you would be clean in a week. Someone, everybodys body isn't the same in cleaning time. Even if your the same weight and height.

I agree-nothing is ever an exact science. Everyone has different metabolisms and we all store fat differently. I just wanted assurance that in my time-frame since smoking would I be okay. Since it's been 3-4 weeks or longer then hopefully I should be fine. I appreciate everyone input. I was so scared at first. But I've read many threads on here of others in my same situation who turned up with negative tests. So I'm hopeful!

just drink alot of water don't give them your first sample and the more your piss before you go the better. Drink water where you piss every 15-20 min. Drink powerade to keep the color. Give a mid-stream sample let us know how you do
