| Hi, Gave a urine sample as part of a medical last week. Had smoked a joint 48 hours before (test was not expected !). Urine was swabbed and came up with a 'blue' result. Doctor didnt say anything, but clearly did a double-take on the swab, and checked the 'colour codes' on the packet to see what it meant. It may be a complete red herring, but there is at least a reasonable chance the swab was showing positive for pot. Now, it may be that I will need to redo this test to show a clear result. Is now 5 days since that joint, and have been drinking lots and doing a lot of exercise. Is the 'it stays in your system for 6 weeks' a fact or any urban myth ? i.e. am I likely to be pretty much OK now ? If I am OK now then I will store a urine sample in case I need to redo - the testing procedure is very slack so I will easily be able to substitute - I guess remembering to heat it up slightly in the microwave before I go would be good ! On the other hand, I can get a sample from a mate who hasn't smoked for ages. But, can they tell that the urine samples from last week and the one from someone else are actually from different people - or is the testing not that sophisticated ? Sorry for vague nature of message - but any thoughts appreciated. FTR |
