I smoked daily for 14 years. I bought a product called “moderate cleanse”, a permanent detox from a web site It took 72 hours and I passed an “athome” type drug test afterwards.

Well folks tomorrow is officially the big day. I will have been clean for 20 days at this point and will be using the dilution and aspirin method. I'll be sure to post my results and the exact method I used in the end. Wish me luck...

I went and took the test late Friday Afternoon so I have yet to receive my results because they aren't there over the weekend. I'd say my chances of passing are about 50/50. I can't say I'm extremely worried if I don't pass because as I stated earlier my friend told me he failed his first test and they said as long as he passed the rest they wouldn't press for anything else. My next meeting with the P.O. is Dec. 6th so I figure by then that is 40+ days of being clean and I should be close to 100% clean. I'll post the results either way once I get them. Once again thanks for all the tips and insight.

It's Monday Afternoon and still no news. I'm pretty sure they leave at around 4:30 or 5pm so I'm hoping that no news is good news. As I stated earlier my friend had told me they have the results to you by the next morning. So who knows at this point. Anyone here that has been on probation how long it normally took for you to get your results? Also do they still call with the results if you passed? Keeping my fingers crossed...

When I was on probation about 5 years ago, the testing was real unformal, I was just sent into the bathroom with a cup, peed (unsupervised) and then they tested it right there in from of me with a cheapo dipstick test. I know this is not your situation, but I think if you fail, and your po is a dick, they can put you in violation of probation. If that happens a bench warrent will be issued and you'll have police knocking on your door waiting to take you to jail. I doubt they will do this for failing a test for pot on the first time (probably would take a few positive results), but it is a possiblity. Don't mean to scare you, but in my opinion don't mess around with probation tests, they can be real dicks. Also, if you go to jail for probation violation bail is not set (ironic because bail may be set for murderers and rapists). So if you end up in jail you could be there for a while - until your trial. This is how it is in my jurisdiction, may not be the case for everyone, but I think it is. Again, not trying to scare you, if you do fail, i'm sure you'll be fine, you'll just have to clean up quickly. Anyway, I guess the point of all this rambling is that if you fail you will hear from your probation officer very quickly.

Please, i'm not going to post false information, and according to my law school exams and expirence trying cases in court (on a program that allows 3rd year law students to try cases) I can safely say is not set, and it's not up to a judge for probation violations. Since your already on probation, it's like a second chance, thus they won't give you a third chance by setting bail. The judge has no discretion, it's the law, and i'll work to find the code. By violating probation you show that you're a "threat" to the community. There will be another trial, for the new charge of probation violation. I will hop on lexus-nexus right now to find the code. Again, this may vary from one jurisdiction to another, but I can confidently say that it is indeed the norm for no bail to be set, wether the judge wants it or not.

Also, keep in mind that a probation officer is not a police officer and cannot arrest you. Thus, a probation officer can only recomend a violation, which will then be reviewed at trial.

| You're absolutely right! I was repeating what was told to me 35 years ago. Things may have changed or my memory may not be accurate. You can find a good account of how the system works here

I'm sure thats all true and I have been clean for the past 20+ days now and will continue to be until my probation is over with. Better safe than sorry right. The reason I said I can't be to incredibly worried about this first test is that my friend who had much much more **** on him and has been on probation the past 8 months failed his first drug test and they just told him as long as his toxin levels continued to decrease he'd be fine. He has the same P.O. as me and honestly I know this sounds incredibly biased but I come off as a much better person than him. Thanks for all the info though. Anything else you find useful would be greatly appreciated.
