Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a drug test during the first week or two of work. Seems like it would be a little early for random. Any test I have had in the past has been between accepting the offer and the start date. Since I already have the start date, maybe I don't even need to be worrying?

As many have posted before it would be wise to wait until you receive your first paycheck before having that first smoke. Just my two cents....

I am not planning on smoking, I am just hoping I don't get tested. I just read somewhere that pre-employment screens can still be valid if given on or after start date.

they can give you a test when they choose to when you are first starting out as an employee for the company.

Give yourself some time to sink in, especially if you plan on having this job for any length of time.
