who knows until you test yourself after waking up from a good sleep and a good solid several hour span where you did not drink water or urinate. If after this sample (your first of the day) comes up clean, you are in the clear.

Exclamation my turn for questions on niacin

ive been taking 500mgs for about 8 days. i haven't smoked pot in the same amount of time. im 5'6" 110 lbs, vegetarian so i dont eat a lot of fatty foods.. ive been smoking for 2 years, daily. usually more than once a day. i took a home test and the results were preliminary, instead of negative.. i only had one line, not good. my roommates constantly smoke pot and i miss it so.. i was wondering is there anyway anyone can give me pointers to secure me passing a drug test. i have an interview tomorrow and will most likely have a drug screening the following day or tomorrow. pointers please!!

After hearing from a friend that taking niacin could help my pass my UA I went out and bought a bottle. The capsules that I took are 250mg a pop, he told me to take atleast 10 of them. The basic idea was to burn out the thc from my body, and excrete it through my pores. So over the period of an hr, i took the 10 pills and drank 40 ounces of water. My body weight is 170lbs and i'm about 5'9'' tall. Basicly I did burn out on the niacin, taking 500 mg over the maximum doctor perscribed amount did a serious number on me. It was like having a sunburn all over my body, and feeling itchy at the same time. Luckily for me, i didnt suffer any of the overdose affects of the drug ie, vomiting, light-head, tingly skin. I did however feel very very tired. After taking a few hours for sleep I woke up with a nasty film all over my body. Which was likely sweat out during sleep. It was two days after that endevor that i took my ua, during the day of the test I drank another 40 ounces of water, an hour before hand i took 4 asprin, and half an hr before i took 2 more. I am not sure exactly what it was that allowed me to pass, the asprin, niacin or 4 gallons of water (in total) that i drank. But I had smoked weed the week before, and 3 days before I dropped e that was cut with coke. Hopefully this testimonial helps someone out.

Default B-complex vs. actual niacin

Although I have read that Niacin does nothing, I am somewhat inclined to give it a try since I have a friend who was on probation for growing and absolutely swears by it. (Althuogh he did fail once).
I couldn't find actual 'Niacin,' and I can't exactly shop around because I have a broken leg. (I can't drive, its my right leg). So I got the next best thing, b-complex maxi, high potency. 200 mg's of niacin in conjunction with other B-vitamins.
I take like 3 or 4 of those and have been taking them for days. I feel no burning, no itching, ect. This makes me think that my bod isn't absorbing enough niacin from the tabs. Although, I am having a caffine like reaction.
I can't sleep, when I do sleep I wake up periodically throughout the night as if I had consumed ephedra or caffine.
Does anybody know how the actual niacin tabs compare to b-complex? Also, if I'm not burning and red, should I assume that these are not working and try to get to the store for REAL niacin?
And, had anybody else had difficulty sleeping on this stuff?

Hello,
Over a period of time ( say a few weeks ) what do the correct doses of Niacin do, I have to take a drug test in few weeks or so, and if I take the correct doses of niacin about everyday, will that clean out the body? This is without excessive amounts of water.

Not to fly off topic but that's a myth within a myth to begin with. LSD is out of your system within hours, its concentration is down to minute levels before the "trip" is even over. All that about it being stored in your spine and whatnot is *total* BS and flashbacks have nothing to do with "trace" amounts of toxins, its a mental thing. War vets who experience flashbacks don't have trace amounts of "war" stored in their spine or fat cells do they?

Anyway the point being is pay attention to proven science and not just anything you read or hear from friends who "swear" they know somebody who it worked on. Even if they do know (or if it worked for them) there's so many variables and no proof the niacin had anything remotely to do with it. Mega doses of Niacin do nothing but make you sick. Realize the burning and itching and redness is your body's way of alerting you something is wrong. You aren't helping anything in the detox sense by doing it, and you can fatally OD on as little as 2000mg... so I wouldn't take advide of chowing down on handfuls of these pills thinking they're gonna do some sort of magic.

Again there might be small benefits of Niacin/B-3 in the digestive and fat metabolism process, but thats what dietary guidelines are for. When you're getting around 100% of your daily value (which is 20mg for a healthy adult by the way), you're running at near optimum when it comes to what it can do for you. Going way over that reccomended value is a waste of vitamins (aka your money) and can have serious side effects. The only real way taking extra Niacin outside of a normal diet might help is if you're severely deficient in it for some odd reason, or have some sort of illness that changes your body's requirements or the way your body uses it.
