First of all, great site, and I feel a bit relieved already about this upcoming test. Let me explain the situation.

I was accepted for a job, and today I got a call from the company H.R. saying that I will recieve my
contract this week, and they want to schedule a test for me after I sign and return the contract. The H.R. person told me this is a 'direct test' if it helps.

I smoked marijuana twice in my life, and the second, thus the last time was last week. I bought some for
a friend of mine, and just said "What the heck" one day and smoked one cigarette I rolled one and smoked.
That's all, I almost don't drink, once or twice a week and not much, I didn't drink for 2 months in the
last 3 months maybe. I smoke regular cigarettes though. Quite a bit, a pack a day for regulars cigarettes.

So I'm 25, 5'8" 175 lbs. I work out 5 days a week, each workout is aroudn 2,5 to 3 hours with muscle
building and some cardio. I drink lots of coffee, but not much water. My metabolism should be medium to
high at this point. As I said I smoked only 2 cigaretted in 2 years, but the second was last tuesday. I can delay the test for 1-2 more weeks, maybe even 3 weeks if I push a bit.

As usual it's really critical and important for me to pass the test and get this job. It's almost my
life at the end of the rope. I'll buy a home test and test myself after reading the other threads as soon
as possible but I would really like to hear some experienced opinions and advice on this.

I don't want to take away from the importance of your situation, but does anyone know if this is legal in Canada? I'm not asking 'cus I'm getting a job or anything, I'm just asking 'cus I'v never heard of a pre-employment drug test being done in Canada. I would say you'll be fine in three weeks, but I'm no expert. I say this simply because if you've only done it twice in the past 2 years or whatever, there wouldn't have been any in your system a week ago and therefore I would think it would probably be out by now. . .Or close to it. I'm just speculating though.

Your not in too terrible a situation if you can put the test off for 2 weeks considering your build and exercise regimen. If you've been clean for a week now already and can push the test off another 2 weeks you'll be fine.

I'd suggest that you go and purchase a couple home tests and use the first urine of the day. If you've passed one of those before you are required to take the test then your good to go. BUT if for some reason you can't pass an at home test I'd suggest using light dilution (Read the stickies above).

Other than that these next few weeks just consume plenty of fluids, continue to exercise, and eat a low fat diet with fiber to help speed the cleansing process. Good Luck...

Well I'm a bit relaxed right now. It's been 9 days since I've smoked and I tested at home twice. First one was dipped more then max level of that test thingy, and didn't show any results.

I tried it again yesterday and it came up negative. Now I've the contract saying that they'll send the samples to a laboratory to be tested. I would assume the home test is sure enough to tell me that I'm clean, and whatever didn't show up at home test will not show up at a lab test. Am I right on there?

I'll use the home test again the day before the actual testing with the first piss of the day to see, and if something comes up as suggesed above I'll do a light dilution. What do you think?
