Hi, does anyone know the time frame the new drug swab testing in Australia detects drugs? It's for driving on the road, similar to drink driving testing but a swab is used instead. How long can it be detected in your saliva?

I believe if you abstain from smoking for a week or so you'll be clean in a saliva test. I'm not 100% certain on that. Mel could probably give you a little better idea of detection times on a saliva test.

saliva tests usually have a 1-48 hour window for a positive presumptive after you smoke.

I am a Victorian , bloody coppers are conducting a World 1ST in my state .........
originally i was lead to beleive that it was 4-6 hours , after a bit of research , it could be 1-2 days .

1-48 hours is all you need to be clean of THC metabolites in your saliva.
