i'm a little worried about the pre-employment test i took today. i'm 5 ft. and weight 118 lbs. moderate metabolism and smoker until i quit about 5 weeks ago. before that i ate a whole "magic cake" all by myself (so yummy i couldn't stop myself!!!). i tested myself twice about a week ago and failed one test. i'm thinking it may have been the route of thc administration that is giving such slow clearance of the thc metabolite. i took 4 aspirins last night and again this morning before going in. also took a multivite 1 hour prior with moderate amount of water...i don't believe i diluted my urine enough though. i was not urinating every 15-30 mintes. just curious if the aspirin will drop the ph of my urine and my sample will me considered adulterated. any input will be greatly appreciated.thanks!!!

The asprin won't hurt, it will only help.

So three days after I took the test I called the lab and they wouldn't give me the results. They said I have to call the company that is employing me to get the results. I called my future boss and he sounded really different. He is usually really upbeat with me, but this time he was very serious. He said that it seems the lab has lost or misplaced my specimen. Is that possible? Sounds very strange to me. He also said I should show up to training on monday and that they would do a saliva test right there. I can't find much info on this form of drug testing. I am really stressed.

Can the lab not give me the results? Why wouldn't they tell me the specimen is lost. I don't know what my rights are here?

if you take a saliva test, as long as you are clean for a few days, you will pass no problem!

As to your legal rights, you have none, at least when it comes to your sample; but look on the bright side, since you could pass the saliva test, but may not have passed the urine screen

so early this week at my training session two people (my manager and an HR person) showed up and administered the saliva test. asked me to hold a sponge like material on a stick next to my gums for 2 minutes. then it was FedExed out for fast results. so here i am friday evening and still no results. i am pretty sure that i'll pass since i've been clean for more than 6 weeks now. my concern is that someone told me that my first drug screen "bounced". what the hell does that mean? they have been really vague with me. can anyone interpret the meaning of "bounced"?

i think they've got what they wanted...i think they've turned me into a docile employee.

I'm not sure what bounced means, maybe that the fedex shipment did not get delivered. Like an email bouncing back, just a guess.
