| Ok, I thought I would have a urine test this past week but still no set date. Most likely sometime between 12/6-12/10. I not sure what the cutoff will be, but I've gone through 5 interviews & a long Caliper (Behaviorial/Aptitude) test. The postion is a manager's position, so I figure they take this stuff pretty seriously. I'm 6'3 & 195lbs. I was a daily smoker (blunt or couple bowls). I don't work out anymore (I used to have great metobolism, but as I'm getting older it's slowing up a bit)Today marks 28 days without smoking. I took a home drug test with a cutoff of 50. I got a faint line on Thursday (urine I saved from the day before once I woke up). Today I took another test (again with the first urine of the day), but I didn't even get a faint line. Does the faint line also mean I barely passed & if something similar happened during the actual testing would they possibly go forward with the confirmation portion of the test. I'm now a little worried. I only have two home tests left, but I figure doing a mid stream, mid day would get me at negative result. I want to at least save one home test for my actual test day once its assigned, but curious if dilution (water, gatorade, & salt) should be sufficient. Also, curious since 50/nl is the most common cut-offs. Is it possible that they can be lowered depending on a company's request. As I said I've jumped through plenty of hoops for them already, I figure they won't be half-a$$ing at this stage of the game...Any tips on passing & cutoff info will be greatly appreciated. |

| Most of the time labs will use a normal 50ng/ml cutoff as a preliminary test and if you pass that they will have not further testing no matter how faint the line is. The line faintness has a lot of different contributing factors other than just that. Use dilution and I think you'll be fine if you do it properly. Continue to drink plenty of fluids in the days leading up to the test. Over 30 days clean should yeild a negative result if you use mid-stream and have used slight dilution. Good Luck..... ![]() |
