Hey guys... my pops has wanted to take a life insurance policy out on me for a while now but I keep saying no because I am a toker. I finally agreed that I would get clean and do this and I was wondering what I should expect. It would be through Allstate Insurance. Does anyone know what kind of drug testing ALLSTATE INSURANCE performs? Do they do urine testing, blood testing, hair testing? I can do the urine no problem, it is the other tests that I am worried about.

Any information about this would be helpful. Any of you oldtimers on here gone through this already? I would like information specifically related to Allstate insurance drug testing as that is where I HAVE to get the policy from. I want to get a policy before I get too old (only 24 now).

Most insurance health care screenings are like health physicals. They look for cronic or preexisting conditions. You could always call the clinic conducting the physical and ask what the screening requires. Your questions should not arouse as much suspicion as an employment test.

Blood Testing won't be a problem if you are clean for even a week or so. The hair test will be the hardest to pass because you'll probably need a good 90 days of being clean to be sure you'll pass if your a heavy smoker.

If it turns out being a Urine Test just simply get a couple of home tests and once your able to pass with the first urine of the day your clean. Good Luck...

Thanks for the info guys. I really need to know specifics about Allstate Insurance's testing policies. I guess I will just call an agent and get all the info from him as my father is my agent and even though he knows I smoke, it isn't a topic either of us really like discussing.

If anyone here has Allstate Life Insurance I would appreciate some info on their drug testing policies.
