I have been a chronic daily smoker (15 yrs) I quit smoking on 10/12/04; tomorrow I will be tested for pre-employment purposes. On 11/7 I took a home test and gave the most concentrated urine I could-it came back 52mcg-+ positive. On 11/22 I took another test, but drank about 2 liters of water before and it came back negative- I sent it in for confirmatory testing and it came back negative (less than 15mcg) So, tomorrow will be my 58th day and I will get tested-do you think I need to dilute? I really don't want to drink too much and have them tell me it's dilute, but it's better than coming back +. Sorry to be "like the rest" here, but do you think I will pass tomorrow? What would you do ? They have ordered my testing for 9 AM!!!!I am 5'4" 130lbs and do hot yoga 3-4x/week-which means I sweat ALOT- I have a fair amount of muscle, not sure how much body fat, but definitely got some!! This is a great website and I really appreciate everyone's great advice!!

Common wisedom says that a person needs 30 days or so to be safe.

It is always a good idea to drink water, so drink away.

58 Days at your size should be plenty. I don't even think you'll need dilution. Maybe you could drink about a quart of liquid a half hour before the test just to give slight dilution to be safe. You should be fine though and Good Luck...

Wanted you all to know that i just found out today that I passed my test!
I drank only a small amount of water-laid off the stuff for almost 60 days, which was important for me given the chronicity of my habit. My job had to do a "background check" into addition the the urinalysis, so it took extra long.
