After searching, I couldn't find anything.

Recently, I saw someone at my work get issued a random, and they only had 20 minutes notice and the company had a cab take them to the place (so I can't stop at home as I thought I could). So, I'm going to have to be all on ball at all time, and have powdered piss in my car or something.

I have a source of clean urine, so I wanted to try to get some into powder form. This way I can just it in a 2 oz Shampoo Bottle and ready to go at all times. All that I'll need to do is put warm water in in before I go..

Has anyone made powdered urine before? I found something in the FAQ file that everyone has that just says to let it sit and evaporate, then scrape (almost sounded too simple, doesn't it go bad just sitting?). I was wondering if I could slowly bake it in the oven to get the same effect.

Oh man, either way it's rank either way you do it. You can get the pastey stuff by letting the water evaporate until you have that paste, putting it in a jar or bag and mixing it back with water during test time... Sorry, no first hand experience. You can also freeze it and warm it back up when its time to take a test, which takes a little longer but people have had success with that.

And the 3rd option would be to pay for the synthetic powder stuff...usually around 30 bucks.

I would love to just buy some, but here in IL, we can't buy it [companies won't even ship here] because of some BS legislation.

Anyway, you said that I would get some pastey stuff??? I was hoping to get the urine down to a dry, fine powder so that I can use it at anytime w/o worrying about it going bad.

Right now, I have some laying a glass/pyrex cassarole dish (1/4 inch of urine, or 6 oz of urine). Hopefully I can get it evaporated properly.

9.2.2.1 Making your own powdered urine: Urinate in a glass container. Let it evaporate. Then scrape the inside for the concentrate. Just mix it with water before the test, and the sample will have the correct specific gravity, pH, color, etc.

That's the jist of it. Urinate in a container, let it evaporate, and scrape the residue out. Mix together with 60-70 cc's of tap water, bring to normal body temperature also.

check the ph of your water though, you probably would want to use distilled water if you could, in order to bring it back to the original form as close as possible, since when evaporation is taking place, all that is evaporating off is water, and tap water contains some minerals and chemicals that may tamper the sample...................just a thought; otherwise should be ok.

The smell, BTW, is all the bacteria present in the stale evaporating urine

Thanks for the help everyone. I will keep updating this thread so that the next person will have some guidelines. The piss is pretty much dry and crusty on the pyrex. I'm going to wait until later tonight until I start scraping, just to insure that it is 100% dry.

This is my current plan. I'm going to have the scraped, powdered pee in a disolvable capsule (like the stuff they put herbs in). I will put this capsule in an empty 2 oz shampoo bottle. So the plan is, when I get issued the random, I just have to fill this puppy w/ warm (hopefully distilled) h20. I will also be carrying around one of those handwarmers ready to go at all time.
