obviously i wont get hired if i fail a drug test, but does my name get put on a list for others not to hire me as well? or is this test between the testing company, the employer and me only? where do the results go afterwards? am i being to paranoid? has anyone heard of anything crazy like this happeneing before?

As far as I know, it's between you, your employer, and the testing company. There is no list of "drug test failures".

That said, prospective employers often take it upon themselves to call your previous employers and ask them, "Has this person ever failed or refused a drug test?" and your previous employer has no reason not to tell them the truth.

If you fail a drug test, I wouldn't use that employer as a reference or list them on your resume / work experience history.
