My test sheet has the 'customer service' number printed right at the top of the page, but I'm thinking that if I call it may look sketchy - i.e. if I had nothing to hide, why would I be calling in the first place? and I don't want them to 're-check' my pee just in case.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Am I just being a worry wart?

I think it's a bad idea. Chances are, nothing bad will happen if you call them first, but most people don't so there's a chance that it could raise suspicion -- I wouldn't do it.

In most places, they are required by law to call and tell you that you failed before they tell whoever ordered the test (your prospective employer). If it's been more than a week and they haven't called, chances are that you passed. In this case no news is usually good news.

Now, there's no guarantee that no news is good news. But from my experience, they usually only call you when you fail. At least, for employment screens anyway. If this is a probation test or something else, then the rules may be different.

It's been 3 days and I'm still holding my breath. This is pre-employment and I really want the position.

On the lab order, it says that their medical officer will call me if there is anything in order to be able to question what other meds I take. These last few days have been a complete nightmare... all from smoking some weed here and there. This country really needs to change its attitudes.

Well, I failed once, and the lab called me a week after I took the test to let me know the results before they gave them to my employer. I know you're probably jumping out of your skin, but if it's only been 3 days, be patient. The lab itself may not even have the results yet.

I know what your going through. My first probation test I was so scared about them just showing up at my door saying I had failed and taking me away. Luckily I am now 100% Clean and will be until I'm taken off probation (Only another 31 days ).

I hate to bring you more bad news though but with the holiday's as close as they are you probably won't receive the results till the Monday after Christmas. Good Luck....

I took my urine test on Monday and am waiting too. I wish I could just know already. This waiting is driving me nutz. Best of luck to you, I hope we both pass!

I wouldn't start worrying yet since it is the holidays but it still could mean you failed. Last time I had to take one, they did not call me for about a week so I finally called to see when I could start the job. After some buck passing and a few more phone calls, I finally reached the MRO who told me about the failed result. They did not ask about any other food or medication even though I was adamant that I don't smoke (the MRO basically said I was a drug addict and had no credibility or rights). I would not bet that they will call you before they notify the prospective employer either. They also never sent me a copy of the failed rsult in the mail as stated they would.

True that. They called the employer to tell him I got a dilute. I never got a call from the lab. Now I have to take it again and I'm debating between the dilution method and substitution. Argh!
