I read some of the users posts and the guide to detox but it only worried me more.
I have a drug test on monday and ive been smoking for well over a year and a half. Not just one bowl a day, maybe 3 at the least, every day for the past year and a half. (Chronic, not schwag. if that helps any)

My question is if I go buy a detox drink will i be able to pass this drug test with no problems?
Ive never been drug tested before so I dont know what goes on, if someone watches, or if the test will show that I took a detox prior to testing.

Im kind of stressed because I really need this job. Some of you are probably thinking "well, why didnt you quit smoking". Well, I just recently got called on my application. I didnt think they would call me because it was well over a month and a half / two months so I figured I wouldnt get the job.
Am I over reacting by stressing out? Or will things be alright if I just drink the detox before I get tested?

Your best bet would be to use substitution. Dilution isn't really an option for you considering you haven't been clean for more than a couple of days and have been a chronic smoker. Read the Stickies above about substitution. Good Luck...

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Detox Drinks work on the principle of dilution so it probably wouldn't be a good option for you. As I stated above your best bet is substitution.

Hi. Thanks for the reply LiveAndLearn.
I actually havent smoked since thursday, the 6th. it was just a little ammount because thats pretty much when i ran out of bud. Wasnt enough to get high I should say.
Would Substitution still be the way to go? I dont know if I know anybody that hasnt smoked. lol

If at all possible substitution is the way to go. You've been a chronic smoker and would need probably around 2 weeks clean with proper dilution to be able to pass. Good Luck...

When I went for my pre employment test nobody watched- they don't let you take a pocketbook or anything back with you- they may ask you to emptyyour pockets- they didn't ask me but I think they are supposed to. The water in the toilet is blue and they tell you not to run the water. From what most people in the forums say subbing is easy for pre employment testing. Also there is a lot of info about synthetic urine if you look around the threads- I don't know much about it but you said you don't know anyone who could give you clean urine so maybe you ought to look into that. The detox drinks aren't reliable- and nobody can tell you how long it would take you to get clean because it varies widely from person to person- but not very many people are clean in 5 days and especially not regular users. You can always check with a home test though- they sell them at the drug store but even if it's negative you should still dilute.

Hey... well I went in to fill out the paperwork and to take the test.. only thing is, the place i filled the papers out also wasnt the place to take the test.. so basically I got the run around and wasnt able to find the testing place.
i went to my local headshop and bought "Detoxify XXtraclean" along with the "xxtraclean pills". since i didnt have my test today i called that headshop back and asked if the detox would cary over from now on. the girl said it only lasts for 6 hours so basically I have to either by another one or for someone so that i could Sub my piss.. now the problem with that is i dont know anyone that could Sub. so im pretty much freaking out again because im sure I wont pass.

Unless theres still a way, other than subing/detoxing? could i still drink mass ammounts of water, vegies, fruits, etc and have a chance at passing?
ive been clean since thursday (really not enough to get me high actually) and havent had any greasy foods since saturday (mexican food; a little bit of a borrito, rice and beans). im about 5'6, 140lbs, 22 years old. i dont really work out to much but other than smoking cigs and pot im in decent shape.
since saturday night ive been drinking a ton of water, eating apples, bannanas and carrots.. please tell me theres still hope i could pass the test??


[PS] when i filled out the paperwork i put down the 12th as the date.. i totaly forgot it was the 10th today, so would that buy me some time? and say i didnt go in to get tested, would they contact my work to let them know i didnt go in or could i just play it out like i went in and no one would know?
