Thanks so much to mel and N2 and all the rest of you all for this tremendous resource. My story- suddenly out of work after many many years due to a "reorganization", new management at my big company. Found another great job and suddenly have to take a drug test, first time ever. Daily smoker of the good stuff, once daily, small amount, but still... Large, 250 lbs, 5' 6" but pretty fit, doing regular workouts at the gym. Have been clean for 25 days and will test on day 27. Am already testing clean with first urine of the day, but a very faint line. Planning dilution and will home test until it looks good before I go to the lab. Have been taking creatine for several days and will continue. Don't want to take a ton of aspirin as I am on blood pressure medicine and am worried about the side effects.

Questions:
If I pass the home test I should be safe at the Quest lab- does that sound correct? Has anyone ever passed the home test and failed at the lab? This is a 50 ng test, the standard 6405N SAP 5050 GC/MS
Should I lay off exercise and eat the big meals two days before the test?

Again, thanks to all of you. I am otherwise a good citizen and I am amazed this stuff is STILL NOT LEGAL!! Can't believe that we are subjected to ads on TV to take a pill for everything, encouraged to drink for every social occasion, and this remains illegal.

This sounds like too advanced of a case for me considering I have no experience whatsoever other than my knowledge from this site, but from what I hear is that if you come out negative on the home test with your first piss opf the day then you should be fine, but please, someone else respond if I'm wrong. What happened to youliveandlearn?? Where did he go?

That's a good sign if the line is present even if that line is very faint.

Lay off the exercise but eating big meals won't do too much.

Home tests are very good indicators of how you'll do on the real thing.

Thanks to you both. I will let you know what happens- I don't expect to hear anything, just will find out when I start the new job. I agree with whoever said that don't start smoking until you get your first paycheck.

I also agree with whoever said losing a job sucks but there is always another one, but going to jail really is bad. Quitting for a short period is not too hard in the end, as live and learn knows, and it helps to do this from time to time anyway to keep your tolerance low. In the end, it is the lungs that take the hits so no matter how we feel about the law (and I think we all agree it is the height of hypocrisy since alcohol, cigarettes, prozac etc is all encouraged) it is good to abstain from time to time...
