| Next Monday (1/31/05) I have a DOT physical and drug test at the same time and place. Having not abstained from Mary Jane's sweet love in the past 30 days I plan to use synthetic urine; which I am confident will pass the test. Normally if it were just a drug test I would crotch the bottle and deposit it in the collection vessel when the time comes. However the drug test is being given as part of a DOT physical required to obtain a CDL. Here's my problem... I have never had a DOT physical before so I don't know the procedure. According to the guidelines for a DOT approved drug test, http://www.dot.gov/ost/dapc/ The test requires 45 ml of urine for a split sample (30 ml in one and 15 ml in the other) and they can't ask you to remove clothings except for maybe a jacket. However if you read the guidelines they can ask you to remove clothing if the drug test is being given as part of a DOT physical which is the case for me. I did a search on this site for information regarding a DOT physical and checked the DOT's web site for information on the physical and couldn't find much useful information to my situation. Basically my questions are this... Has anybody here ever had a DOT physical or know somebody who has had one? If so does the DOT physical require a separate urine sample aside from the sample for the drug test? All the physicals I have had prior to this take a urine sample to check for health problems not drugs. |
