It's been a whole week and some and I haven't heard back from target yet. I was thinking about calling concentra with the number they provide on their website or find the number to the lab that it was sent to. Is that fine? Or would you think someone would have called me by now if I failed the test? I would appreciate some info...thnx

Lets say you did call them and check. If you passed, do you think they would make you take it again? Do you think they would let the employer know that you checked up? I think calling your employer would be a big mistake but Im not sure if the lab would be able to do anything more unless of course you didnt dilute properly. But they would call you back in anyways right?

I want to know too because if I am hired by this new place, they will just assume that I will pass the drug test and expect me to give my 2 weeks notice. However I wont do that until I know for sure if I passed or not. I might risk calling the lab to find out because I am not sure they would really care if they all ready had a result. And if they wont tell me, I guess my current job will have to wait until I start my new job to find out I am leaving them. Its not my preferred way of leaving a job but Im not telling them until I know for sure!

There is not one single test center that will give you results on the phone.
Check their websites and you will see that the sample and the results are the property of the company that requested them. They are legally unable to release the results to you unless the company you are applying to authorizes them, which no one does.
It is, essentially, a waste of time.
If you do decide that I am full of it, just call and tell them that you recently tested and was wondering if they have the results. They WILL tell you that they cannot, usually without asking you your name.
Be patient. If they require a test, they will not bother to waste money paying you until it comes back negative.

I would never give notice until a new job is a certainty. I don't think your new employer would expect you to resign your old job until you have a start date for the new one.
