Lowes is a home improvement department store. I'm sure most of you know which store I'm refering to. I'm pretty sure they drug test, cause it asked on the application if I would be willing to take a mandatory drug test (does this mean it's 100% they will test?). But my real question is, what kind of test would it be? Urine, blood, hair? Do stores like this only do urine, or could they possibly do hair? Thanks for the info.

A good friend of mine just got a job at Lowes. Yes they drug-test and he had a urine test.

Alright, that's what I thought.

Aren't hair tests pretty expensive? They probably wouldn't do that, would they?

Highly, highly doubt they would hair test. Unless you are talking about a major company, the only "normal" jobs that hair test from my experience are grocery chains and the expense only allows them to pull a hair follicle off of you, and the other employees of course, and randomly test them.

This is from 2005. Seems like they do drug test.

Yes Lowe's does drug testing. In my area they saliva test. Do a search for Lowe's drug testing, there is a forum dedicated to Lowe's drug testing and other things. I haven't looked lately but it existed a couple years ago.
