Just wondering how long it took for you to find out if you failed yer test. Im guessing 2-3 days?? Hopefully not much more than that. Not hearing from them is best but I wanna know how long I need to sweat it out before I would find out.

MOST places report within 48 hours. Some take longer.
From what I gathered, Quest Diagnostics reports results to a special 800 number given to employers within 2 days. It's then up to the company to check for results, hence the delay most people experience for a pre-employment screen. Most seem to report that their employers notified them within a week of a positive result. (2-7 days)
I took my test on Jan. 15. It's January 28 and I assume I passed, although the recruiter in charge of my results has been gone all week on a recruiting trip. Needless to say, I hope he called the number, saw that I passed, and left on his trip. I will be VERY pissed if he either a) called, heard a positive and decided to call me after the trip or b) he left without checking first.
Either way, try and be patient. I know it sucks and the waiting actually hurts (nagging doubts avail) but, from what I understand, most companies don't want you to wait any longer than you have to to find out.
Also, keep in mind that a non-user wouldn't give a crap (bc they are EXPECTING a negative result) and try not to call and ask for results.

I just dont want to give my 2 weeks notice unless I know I passed. I ordered some synthetic urine today and will do the dilution/aspirin method as a backup. I'm gonna try just aspirin now and see if I can pass the home tests without tons of water. So hopefully I will pass either way.
