Here is my question: I had an 8 panel test by a company called Medtox, I am leaving for a vacation to Mexico for a week starting 02/04 and the lady that gave the test said I would get my results within 1 week(took test 02/02). Do they give the results through mail or over the phone???? I will have a chance to call my cell phone and get messages but no mail!!!!! Thanks

Your employer gets results, not you. Unfortunately, that means you might hear nothing (a good thing) or you might get a call from the company you are applying for.
Quest Diagnostics gives the employer an 800 number to call to check results.
The standard seems to be 2-7 business days.

You will only be contacted by the lab IF and ONLY IF you fail your test. Good Luck...

actually the employer will contact you; the labs have no interest in the results in terms of the end user, especially when they are for pre-employment; I am sure many of the lab techs just shake their heads when they take the samples to begin with..........

Well I've heard of labs contacting people to notify them they have failed before contacting the employer.
