was wondering, if you test positive for the bud in your system, is there any way you can make an excues? for example, if only a liiiiitle bit was found in your system, you could say you had a few hemp cereal bars and they contain thc, that must have caused it. or you were in your friends car and they hot boxed it, but you didnt actually smoke any. i think the hemp bar is a bit more convincing and believable. what do you guys think?

Since food that contains hemp actually contains no THC, that would not be a good excuse. A better one would be to say you were around other people who were smoking up.

you could also say you were taking alot of ibuprofen all week due to wicked headaches and ****. i heard on here they changed the emit tests to not cause a false positive for that anymore but i guess in high doses it still does.

there is no way you can prove that you were not smoking marijuana if you test positive, and none of these products, or any other hemp product for that matter, would register a level above 50ng/ml, required for a positive screen.

this is news to me, i thought the common knowledge was quite the opposite. wasn't it proven somewhere that 2nd hand smoke doesn't affect urine tests? are you guys sure that 2nd hand smoke can cause someone to register above the 50ng cutoff level, or do you have any links that show it does? this is an important point i need to know for advising stoners on another forum too. thanks

If it is for preemployment, they usually don't care about your excuse.
Employment at will means that any violation of their policies is terms for denial of a job.
If it is for probation, they may give you another chance. Don't fail again.
If it is for your parents, who knows? It probably depends on how gullible they are. If they research it, they will get as much information as you did, so chances are they wont believe you anyway.

To add to this, though it would be a better excuse, it still wouldn't be a good one. (Did a search on these forums and found plenty of info on this) Since it would take large amounts of second hand smoke to even register 5 ng/ml, which is well below the 50 ng/ml cutoff, using second-hand smoke as an excuse would likely not work. And to say you were in a boxed car but didn't smoke any is like saying you went to a strip bar but didn't look at any of the lovely ladies.

And what killavanilla said pretty much covers everything else.

btw about the ibuprofen, when i mentioned that to my piss lady, she said what size were they? and i said i dunno, regular 200mg or whatever... and she said "nope, you would have to be taking a bunch of the 600 or 800mg horsepill ones to have any effect

also after using a detox/flush drink & failing a pre-employment test they asked me if i knew why, so i said yes, i have a medical prescription (CA) and they said they would allow it if i showed it to them and it was valid and i also had to pass a retest... which made no sense really, but i tried a different flush drink and failed again.

Then ask them if they feel weird about asking people to carry around (and stare at) your urine so they can pry into your private life.
