on saturday morning i have a urine test...i havent smoked since last thurs. i weigh 110 lbs...before last thursday...i smoked a lil bit. off and on...3-4 bowls hits a day. i heard drinkin mad water before the test does nothing...here's the thing..my urine test is for airforce recruitment so i cant do a substitution. do you guys think im going to pass or reccomemmend me doing a ****load of drinkin a few hours before the test?

just fyi- i had a friend who did sub easily for the USAF a couple of years ago. she used a condom with a 1/4 tube attached to it and a synthetic urine sample. she said they gave her plenty of privacy, but they may have changed their procedures by now, so i'm not really advising risking that method, unless you can check with someone who's been through it recently to see if they were closely observed or not. but if someone was having trouble passing a home test with dilution, i wouldn't entirely rule out the possibility. besides, one of the key steps to substitution, is having your dilution all ready for a backup plan, just in case.

it also depends what you meant by smoking prior to last thursday... "a lil bit, off & on... 3-4 bowls a day". every day? once a week? twice a week? how many days each week did you smoke or not and for how long approx? if it was only one day each week or less then you might have a chance of passing naturally, but if it was every day you would need 2-3 weeks to get clean.

you were misinformed about the usefullness of dilution however. it can easily work for you if done properly. drinking excessive water days in advance is pretty useless, but if you drinking it 2-3 hours before the test is the way it works. but i never recommend for anyone to drink "mad water" or a "****load of water" or any similar random amount, because they will usually drink too much or not enough, and they will often fail to take steps to prevent being flagged as over-dilution such as a properly timed vitamin B2, and daily creatine supplements for a few days in advance, and going with either 2 or 3 quarts of gatorade instead of random "tons" of water, as well as the salt and rolaids and aspirin exactly as recommended in the sticky threads at the top of this forum. read them and follow them carefully. another very important key to this method is pretesting yourself with a home test to see if you're clean or not, and then if not, practicing the method in advance and retesting yourself to make sure it will work. also note how long it takes the vitamin B2 to add the proper amount of yellow color, not too light & not too bright, so you'll know the best time to take that before your real test. be sure you're pre-urinating several times in advance and use the mid-stream technique explained in the stickys. if you practice with 2 quarts and get a very faint line, maybe adding a 3rd quart and trying again an hour later would help make it darker.
