Today was my last day on probation.

Toked up last night for the first time in 4 months. I tested on Feb. 18 and was completely clean.

Now on the last day I got violated. (This is for a urine back at the beginning of probation, in October, that was dirty that they JUST NOW found out about).

So I will have to go to court and surrender myself and pay a bond etc...and possibly be back on probation!!! ****!!! I thought I was totally home free. This SUCKS.

Of course it's back to abstaining and I have no idea when/if they will test me again but now I'm worried about my pre-mature celebration (Just a joint, but still....)

Back to the gym, and back to stressing out just when I thought everything was OK.

That is bull****! If you tested clean at the end and they are just now coming up with something that happened a long time ago? A good lawyer can help with this I would think.

i agree...it doesn't take 4+ months to "just now" find out about a dirty test. plus, if that test was in the beginning of probation, you're usually fine because as long as you eventually test clean (i.e. your levels go down, therefore showing you've stopped using) which you did.

i agree get a lawyer and you should be straight.

also, since you were clean for 4 months, a joint should be out in a week or so max, imo

yeah, it's the p.o.'s fault for bustin' me at the last minute about the dirty. I was two hours away from being released from probation when my lawyer called. He's gonna help. Since I can show that I was tested and was negative in Nov, Jan, and Feb that should be in my favor.

I tested myself (Home kit) on 2/18 and passed easily. The one-day binge was 2/24. Now there is a warrant for my arrest...does anyone know if they can/will test me again (even with all those neg. tests?) and how long I have til I have to turn myself in? Is it likely that they will come to my house?

I'm 5'7'', 175 lbs, quit smoking in Oct after being a daily user for 20+ years. Was clean until Thursday.

Any experience re: one-day use after months of abstenince? Does a week sound right? When should I self-test?

5 to 8 days...

and your 1st urine of the day has the most toxins.

read the sticky threads on aspirin dilution & tips just in case you need it

at least be sure to use the mid-stream technique for the real test, and it may not be necessary, but it probably wouldn't hurt to take a multivitamin and some aspirin with a quart or two of gatorade to be extra safe

Damn your P.O is a bastard...that has to be illegal, how can they bring up an old drug test?? ...dunno what to say...

Will excercise during the next 5-8 days help much? I generally go to the gym 2-3 days a week. Lift weights and run on that damn treadmill (OK, walk...) for 25-30 minutes.

Also -- the reason my p.o. violate me was NOT for the dirty urine in Oct -- It was for FAILING TO PAY for the test. They don't release the results unless you pay. She didn't notice until Feb. 1 that she never got the results from the Oct. test. That's when this all started.

Like I said, I have a lawyer...but I'm starting to wonder about him.

And I really, really wish I hadn't counted my chickens before...But there's no reason to think I will be tested again (seeing as they don't have any dirty results, just two clean urines from Nov and Feb and the un-paid mystery test from Oct.)

She must have pretty big balls to violate me for not paying for a three-month old test that she forgot about.

I know this is a urine testing forum...but let me explain something briefly for you .... While on probation...you have almost NO rights....you gave them up when you took the plea. Yes...she can violate you months later for not paying for that test....it is a condition of your probation to pay that fee. 2 YEARS into my prob. I was informed I had to take a phsyc evaluation, when I asked why no one had informed me of this in over 2 years...well...no one gave a crap...it was a condition of the probation. While on probation...you have no right to privacy..limited freedom of speech..basically, you waved all your rights as an American citizen when you took the plea. Most POs will not violate you as long as you don't get in ANY trouble with the law, and meet the terms you agreed to when you took your plea....Some...like in your case...are F&^%$n A$$ H*!!#S....and like using the very limited power given to them by the state. Probably didn't get laid in high school, and wants to take it out on YOU. Try to get your judge to empithize, make him/her understand it was an oversight on your part, and want to make it right....Admit your wrongdoing, and desire to make it right. As far as your premature celebration....well...I think the others who have posted have answered that. In your case...you should be clean in a matter of days..perhaps a week or so. Be strong, and keep your wits about you right now....you will need them. If it helps, you have all our support here.
You've been shafted...but you can get through it..........and will!!!
You very well might be tested now for your release....prepare yourself thusly.

no, it's too late for that, because in fact you should take a break from exercising during the last week before a test and eat fatty foods, get your body into a fat storing mode instead of a fat-burning mode. otherwise the increased flow of thc metabolites from burning fat could continue for several days, actually becoming a disadvantage at test time.

I will know more Monday. It's possible I may be able to buy some time...there are three possibilities with the Violation:

warrant with bond, which means I have to surrender myself to jail, bond out later that day, and appear in court a few days or a week later after a date is set.

surrender in court (best option) which means I simply appear in front of the judge w/ my atty

warrant w/o bond (worst) as I'd have to sit in jail for a few days until the judge sees his VOP (violation of probation cases). That would be bad as I'd have no abilty to dilute/take aspirin if I go straight from jail to court and then they test me.

Hope my lawyer knows the ropes, he will advise me this week. If I can forestall everything until the end of next week [March 9-10] that's better. Or even later.

I will test myself on Friday March 4 and post my findings here. Of course it's is possible I won't get tested again as my last two were good, and technically I am beyond the six months of the original probation. But I want to be totally prepared for everything.

Thanks again for the support...I'm gonna need it as this is as stressful as it gets. It's a good thing my atty got me on the phone friday afternoon (AFTER he'd called to congratulate me on being off probation) otherwise I could have spent the weekend digging a deeper grave.
