well im on 25mgs of adderal and from 20- 30 mgs of dextrostat daily now my friends know me as the little jew that could... i pass drug tests like no bodys bissnes do my meds have anything to do with it???

The adderall of course would be flagged on a drug screen as a positive for amphetamines- but as long as you have a RX. Actually it is a Central nervous system stimunlant- amphetamines don't speed up your metabolism, they suppress your appetite and increase heart rate, BP, and Central nervous system activity- high energy levels- but metabolism is regulated by thr endocrine system primarily- of course they are inter related but I'm fairly certain adderall does not casue your body to metabolize anything faster. What are the other variables in your test taking? How soon after you quit are you testing neg.? Any dilution, aspirin, etc?

ugh..........ok.............to get super technical then, I should have state that adderall removes certain blockers and sites that may otherwise lead your metabolism to slow down, effectively causing your body to increase its metabolic rate by having these blockers suppressed.

Let me know if you need a NIH reference............of course, abuse of any amphetamine can have the adverse effect, but on a regimen of adderall, it would not be considered "abuse"

Hey no need for the "ugh" I was not trying to be picky about it- I just wasn't aware that there was a definitive link between amphetamines and increased metabolism- in particular fat metabolism. And if there is would be significant enough to get rid of thc metaboilites.? Maybe so, I don't know...That's why I was curious about other variables. Also I wanted to point out for other people reading the forum who might not know that adderall is an amphetamine and so if you use it with the hope of passing a drug test and you don't have a perscription you'll fail the drug test for the amphetamines. I originally came to this forum pretty freaked out and worried and read these posts for information which I took pretty seriously. I was a little concerned that this thread was sounding like amphetamines will help you pass a drug test and I don't think they will. Just trying to be helpful.

I just wanted to ensure that while adderall abuse is not a good idea, if you are on a regimen of adderall, you should continue taking it, and there is evidence to support that it may aid indirectly to increase metabolic rate.

I also take adderall, Except I take 20mg 3 times a day and like the man said I haven't had any problums yet. The advantage though of being prescribed is that if you smoke right before it is time to take it you do not get the burnout (tired) effects of it. It's wonderful!
