| I've read a bit of contradictory info about choice of diet and its effect on metabolizing THC. On this site I read -A high calorie diet is the next best way to increase metabolism. Consuming mass quantities of high calorie food will increase metabolic rate by up to 10 percent. On the contrary, a malnutritious (light) diet could lower your metabolism by 10 percent. However, I also read on this site -Diet. Any type of ruffage type food is good during the days leading up to and including the day of the test; eating fatty foods and laying around is probably the worst thing for you at this point. Instead, try to eat fiber, low fat foods; good choices are eggs, peanuts, bran, low fat turkey, chicken, salads, fruits and vegetables, cranberry and other fruit juices, wheats, liver, soy, proteins. Things to avoid include greasy foods, high carbohydrate type foods, white breads, high sugar foods, candy, chocolate, and the like. I understand that eating light will lower metabolism. I'm currently prepping for a drug test and have been following the latter advice- fiber and low fat foods. To add to the confusion, I've heard that you should follow the low-fat exercise regime until a few days before the test, then stop exercising and eat fatty foods to slow metabolism and thus slow the release of THC metabolites. Can anyone clear up this seemingly opposite information for me? |
