Yo, I am in the merchant navy and am currently on leave. I need 2 take a medical next week (probably friday). Im not sure if its a drug test i got last time but i had 2 pee in a cup and he put small bits of paper in it. Maybe its a diabetes test. Last test i had i used the asprin method and i passed after bein clean 4 a week. This time itll be 8 days with 2 weeks smoking prior to that (moderate-heavy). Anyone know if there is a known non-lab test tht involves placin pieces of paper in the piss. Let me kno plz 2 put ma mind @ ease. Cheers

I used this stuff called Xtreme sold by a lab. It's a pill you take with 4 quarts of water. It's a crock, the home test showed inconclusive. Next I tried my wife's clean sample, got it 10 minutes before the test, kept it snug against my body and failed for lack of sufficient temperature. Hmm. What's the skinny on Urinator? There's gotta be a reliable way to beat this b.s. My company makes a drug test mandatory if you're in a wreck, company car or no, your fault or no. Hell, this is Dallas, there's a crash a day in this city so I'm on thin ice. What's the recommendation, y'all?

Yipee, just found out that the piss test im taking ist 4 drugs!!! Thank you MCA!!! Routine tests 3.4.5 With the exception of colour vision, the following should be carried out and recorded at every examination: (see table of standards under relevant conditions for action on results) · weight – wearing underclothes, no shoes; using scales which are regularly calibrated – record in Kg; · height – no shoes – record in metres. (Calculate body mass index from height and weight); · urine – test with dipsticks for protein, glucose, blood!!!!!!! 3.5.2 Maritime employers or their insurers may also specify additional procedures which they require to be carried out eg drug testing. The general principles to be applied if such requests are made are given in the section on drug and alcohol screening in Chapter 4. In summary the AD must make sure that there is informed consent from the seafarer for any non-statutory procedures, that the seafarer is informed of the results and that the statutory certificate is based on compliance with the medical standards. If the seafarer meets the statutory medical standards, but not those set by an employer, an MCA certificate of fitness should still be issued. LIFE JUST GOT THAT LITTLE BIT BETTER, IM OFF 4 A SMOKE!!!
