Does anyone have any experience with drug testing from Bank of America and/or Fleet Bank? Testclear.com stated pre-hire only, but I have been working for two weeks with no test. The company guide book is vague about it, sounds like testing with suspicion only. I want to know if anyone knows about their testing practices because I am fiending like crazy, I have not smoked in about 2 months and I NEED TO BLAZE!!!!

Sounds like a screwup on HR's end. Ask antoher new-hire what they thought of their pre-emp drug screen. If they acknowledge that they took one in the conversation, you'll know they screwed up. Sooner or later, someone will notice in the files that you didn't have one done. Happened to me, but very early on in my employment (within 2 days of me working there).

I don't know if they had a legal right to make me take one, since they didn't have a random policy nor did they have reasonable suspicion, but they put so much damn pressure on me that I eventually took one after stalling them for a month. If they have a pre-emp screen and it was a matter of HR screwing up, I'd test myself at home a few time to make damn sure I was clean, inform HR that they fooked up, and take the test and complete their files. That way, they won't catch you off guard some day. I know that may mean some more abstinence time to ensure you're clean, but you could always SUBSTITUTE, DILUTE, or go into the test completely clean if you can stand waiting that long before you indulge once again.

Just letting it go, however, will drive you nuts worrying that someday some pinhead HR person is going to find out that you never took one. But again, not sure if they have a legal right after that time period to make you take one without a change in policy that allows for random testing.

i worked for bank of america and can safely say that they DO NOT test, they make you sign a form at the pre employment that says they can test you if they suspect anything...worked there for a full year with no problem....
