I had a drug test last week for a new employment opportunity. In the past, I have taken Detoxify's Ready Clean, and passed with no problems. This time, I used Detoxify's Mega Clean. After giving my sample, and thinking I would have no problem, I stupidly began smoking again, including Sunday night. Monday morning I got a call that said my original sample was diluted, and that I needed to retake the test. Panicked, I went to my local smoke shop and told them the story. They recommended that I use regular Ready Clean if the other was too much for my system, and that I chew up a muli-vitamin to prevent dilution. I did this, following all the Ready Clean instructions (including drinking plenty of water). I peed once after taking the drink, and then gave my sample mid-stream on the second post-drink urination (my fourth urination of the day).

I am a thin guy with an extremely high metabolism and very little body fat. I understand this may help me with the test.

My simple question: am I completely screwed? Has anybody heard of anybody who actually passed a test less than 24 hours after smoking? I'm worried sick about this.

Have you considered substitution? Pre-emp tests are almost never observed, so you could substitute someone else's clean urine for your own.

I agree, sub if you can. I've passed my last 4 tests that way and my own urine would have "melted the cup." I failed the one before those that I pissed into the cup after 32 days clean. I don't trust my own piss AT ALL unless it has been ages.

Granted, if I was going to use my own, I'd dillute according to N2's guidelines. This would include doing some testing with store bought tests to ensure I have the technique down and that my body responds appropriately.

Incidently, I had my first day at work today at my new job. Subbing works wonders, even with crappy labs like the last one I was sent to.

Thanks for the advice guys... unfortunately, I already had to take the test and didn't have time for substitution... I was just hoping to hear of some miraculous test result that might give me hope...

As it is now, I feel completely beaten... I don't think I'll pass, even with the Ready Clean...

Thought I would throw in my little spiel. One of my good friends got popped with a random test and he is a pretty steady smoker, this test was on monday morning and he had been smoking on sunday night. I had told him how to improve his chances if he did get the surprise call one day, and here is what i told him.

#1. Eat some high carb, high fat anything, you want to stop your body from burning any fat.

#2. Take several multivitamins and chase them with a couple liters of water.

#3. Stall as long as possible and piss as much as you can before going in for the test.

#4. Give the very end of the contents of your bladder as a sample.

#5. Pray to whatever god you believe in.

#6. If you pass, smoke a celebratory bowl, but give it a couple days in case you get called back for having a dilute sample.

All good points except for this one:


Mid-stream is supposed to have less THCA than beginning-stream or end-stream.

In this case, I think point number 5 was the most important:


Dilution techniques rarely work on such a short time frame.

Hi guys

Just for ****s and giggles (and grasping at hope), I decided to take an at-home drug test just to see what happened. Mind you, I took this test 24 hours after I gave my real sample, so who knows how that might affect things. BUT, without any dilution or Ready Clean or asprin or anything else, there was the faintest pink line on the strip... not at all dark, but very, very faint.

My question: what do these at-home tests actually detect? What does the pink line indicate the presence of? Is a very, very faint line still enough to pass? And if it is, should I gain any hope in the fact that my body, naturally, passed an at-home test without the Ready Clean and vitamins I took on my real one 24 hours ago?
