Default Well I passed

I was clean for about three weeks and was a very light smoker, although there was a heavy period in the recent past. I diluted just in case, but it did not go too well. I drank 36oz of Powerade with some salt and did not even have the urge to piss. I just kept drinking and nothing really going. I stocked up on Creatine a few days prior and took Niacin for about 3 weeks prior. I took multi-vitamins with the Niacin also. They day of just drank alot, got the biggest value meal at the local fast food place, took some B complex, ate some salty chips, and drank salty powerade. I actually think time is what helped me pass, not dilution.

And now for my rant:

This is the end of my marijuana smoking forever. I am working at a job that involves national defense. They will be keeping tabs on me. Not only will they drug test, but for security clearances I will probably be required to take polygraph tests. Questions about lifestyle (ie. drug use) do come up in these. I can fool a drug test, but I doubt I will be able to fool a lie detector. And I learned something during the stress I had to endure. Weed is fun and all, but the enjoyment is not worth the stress that I had to endure hoping I would pass the test. And I realized that this company has offered me the opportunity to put food on my table, be a successful person in a field of work I enjoy, and allow me to be financially comfortable. All they ask in return is that I do a good job and are drug free. I believe this is a fair trade off. Weed is fun, but it is not a necessity in life. These reasons have lead me to quit.

however, if for any other reason you have to be submitted to a polygraph test, it would benefit you to know that they determine if you are "lying" by monitoring your heart beat, breathing rate, and perspiration. In theory, one could fool the test by intentionally breathing harder on the fake questions they know the answer to (such as your name, your age, etc) so that they get an invalid reading.

Not that you should start smoking again, but knowledge is power/half the battle.

They calibrate for stuff like that. If you are extra nervous and what not. And pattern comes into play, not just how heavy. They take all that into consideration. And as you said, they look at more things than breathing. Many of those functions are uncontrollable. So breathng may be consistent, not everything else. If it was so easy to beat as to just breathe heavy, no one would ever use it.
