I am a very heavy smoker (we are talking like 6 - 8 grams a week, solid for the past 8 yrs), and just found out that Safeway is hiring (Good pay, benefits). But they drug test. And not just once, but twice. They make up some crap about loosing your first test, so they can test you twice. I quit smoking this morning and need to get an idea of how long I should wait to do the tests. I was going to use Clear Choice (my husband used it to get a job about 7 yrs ago and it worked with flying colors), but it costs $30 a pop and we just can't spend $60. So I figure I better just quit, drink lots of water, and exercise. I haven't applied for the job yet. Want to wait until I know I can pass a test. I have some home drug tests coming in the mail and I figure I will start testing myself in about 2 weeks and go from there. Anyone have any other suggestions to help me get clean quicker? I really would rather not use any of the additives or fake pee or any of that weird stuff. Here's my stats:

Very heavy smoker(6-8 grams a week) for the past 8 yrs
160 lbs
almost never exercise (normally)
almost never drink water (normally)

Synthetic urine is not 'wierd stuff'. If you intend to pass this test without diluting or substituting, you will need to home test and you will likely need up to 7 weeks to get clean. When looking for a clean urine doner, remember that age or sex of the doner does not matter. A young child is a great source. Remember to refrigerate or freeze human urine if not used within 8 hours of collecting it. If you have time, synthetic Quick Fix urine is usually available on eBay for under $20.

I'd like to say good luck with your test but actually something disturbs me in your story..i bolded the "I smoke 6-8 grams a week" part that comes out to roughly $75 to $100 dollars aweek of dope.You then go on to say that you can't spend $60 on clear choice.I don't want to sound like your father,but it sounds like you can't afford to smoke.Or not as much as you do.I fear for people like your self that make it(dope) TOO important a part of thier life.I like to have a good time ,but not at the expense of other things that matter.I say this because i watched my sister suffer because of her husband not knowing when to say when .If you cut that quantity in half your saving roughly $2500 a year ..and still enjoying the smoke.Sorry if I offended you but I won't sit on the sideline and at least not SAY it like I did with my sister.Good luck..I hope you pass

My husband and I are trying to quit. But anyone who has smoked it this heavy for so long will agree that it's not the easiest thing to do. Anyone who says its not addictive is lying. I am living proof. If I would have known this oppurtunity was coming up, I would have quit a whole lot sooner, so we could actually afford the Clear Choice. This time I think we can do it.

I just said a prayer for you and your husband.I know you can do it.Take it one day at a time...one hour at a time ...etc. whatever t takes.The first step you've taken is admitting you have that problem.That's big in itself.Think of the extra money you'll have,how much better you'll feel,etc. WHATEVER motivates you..don't lose sight of that.Good luck..you can do it.

It REALLY helps! I think our families and friends have all lost faith in us, cause we have been "trying to quit" for soo long...we kept thinking that we could just limit ourselves. But that didn't work. Anyway, thanks again...
