Need some advice and peace of mind, please. I was a daily smoker for about 4 years, I quit about 4 months ago, took 2 hits from a bat on 6/16, and the next day I got a call about a job interview. I'm expecting to have to take a urine test on 6/24. I'm a female, 5'4", 125lbs, with an average metabolism. I've been running a mile every day for the past few days, been taking niacin and cranberry pills, eating foods low in fat, plus drinking a lot of water. Do I have a chance?

You have nothing to worry about. After the long abstinence you qualify as a "first time" smoker and will be clean in a week or less after taking a couple of tokes. That's without taking any special measures. You can relax and go back to living your normal life.

Speaking in general terms, how long a period of abstinence is required in order to term a smoking event as "single use" or "first time"?

Light Use = 1 or 2 times every couple of months
First Time = Never smoked before.

is this fgor a job?
or oare you already working?

Thank you Buzzby, you've made me feel much better. I quit my job about 6 months ago when I graduated from college to look for a job in my field, and was about to give up and go back to my old job, so I took some tokes. First job offer I get in my field is the day after I gave up. Figures. Thank you soooo much! I'll post my results after I take the test!

It depends on all the same factors that determine how long it takes to get "clean":quality, frequency, amount, metabolism, and body fat.

The "average daily smoker" takes 30 days to reduce THC metabolites levels to the point where he would be below the cutoff for a urine test. Say another two weeks to get down to effectively zero. Then, after one session, how long it'll take to get clean depends on how much THC you put into your system. THC leaves the human body in such a way that you lose a half over a period, half of what's left in the next period, and so on. The average half-life in the human body seems to be 36 hours.
