I will be taking the physical at a MEPS station soon (less than 24 hours). The last time I smoked was over a month ago. Following N2's suggestion, I purchased a few at-home marijuana tests from eBay. To test the extremes of THC in my urine I performed two tests. The first was immediately after I woke up in the morning. The second was a few hours later after I had taken in about 32oz of water. The results for the first test was negative, however, the line was VERY faint. The result after the second test definitely indicated a negative reading (T line was just as dark as C line). My question involves military drug testing procedure. That is, even if I was hovering around 50ng of THC (lets say 49), will my sample still be automatically rejected since it is slightly below the cutoff? My second question involves the sensitivity of military urine tests as compared to a home test. That is, if i test "barely negative" at home, is there a chance the military test will register me as barely positive? Before i head off to MEPS tomorrow I will try to drink as much water as possible, however I anticipate going through many other activities before I will have a chance to relieve myself (thus dilution is not optimal).

drink lots of water and vinegar and believe me i am in the military i havent been busted yet so f it!

Vinigar will do nothing but possably through off the pH part of the urine integrity check, not a good thing. It will NOT help lower THC counts.

How did it go? I'm about to head to MEPS (like two weeks) and I'm a bit nervous myself. I smoked about two weeks ago. I took an at-home test that tested negative but I don't know what testing method they do. If it's hair you're screwed (unless you get shampoo or whatever).
Also I'd imagine they have more accurate equipment.

If your test is in the late morning or afternoon, you will probably do fine on your pee test. The line was faint with your first morning pee because thereotically, that is your dirtiest pee.

Don't drink vinegar, it will make you sick and throw off your test when checked for integrity.

From what I've been reading lately (I actually do read newspapers and news magazines), the military is becoming less stringent about THC showing up on drug tests. In other words, I think they will be thrilled to see any neg line at all, no matter how faint.

Given what you described, I think you are good to go. Just don't do anything like drink a ton of water before you go into your test, or make other drastic changes to your diet. If you exercise or work out, lay off the three or four days before your test, so your body isn't releasing THC metabolites into your urine. You'll have plenty of time to get into shape at boot camp.

I'm going to MEPS on wednesday, assuming my recruiter gets my things in on time tommorow (monday). I think I'll be fine. I have very little body fat, considering I run/work out somewhat often. I didn't smoke for two weeks, smoked less than a gram in 2-3 days.. then stopped smoking again for about a week and a half. So I feel pretty confident. What do you guys think?

I will be buying a drug test tonight or tommorow to make sure. If I fail, I can either just tell my recruiter to hold off for a week or two.. which he's completely cool with. Or just use the most popular method on here to cheat, which.. I doubt I'll have to do. If I have any thc in my body, it's miniscule i'm guessing.

I can't wait until after the drug test, I plan on getting baked!!

Oh yeah, I'm 6' and about 180lbs.

If you have the chance to postpone your test for a few weeks, pending the result of your home test, do it. Believe me, your recruiter wants you to pass your drug test as much as you do.

The test came up negative. I was pretty confident to begin with, but now I'm at complete ease. The line was kind of faint, but definitely visible and it was the first dehydration of the day. Thanks for your help/concern Lolo.

I plan on drinking a bottle of water before the test but after my first urination for the day, just incase the line might be faint again, I doubt it will be faint, but it wouldn't hurt drinking one bottle of water as far as I'm aware.
